    M4A1, ACR, or MK17

Hi, I recently switched from the MK17 and HTI combo to the ACR and MSR combo. I liked it the best, until I came across the M4A1, which is extremely similar to the ACR, a gun I love. I liked the MK17 because of it's sheer damage, penetration, accuracy, and range, but thought about going for another one due to it's horrible handling and rate of fire, adding a grenade launcher only makes it much worse. I switched to the ACR because it had not too low damage, and still a decent RoF. It also had amazing handling and decent accuracy/range, which made it a great weapon. Again, I like the M4A1, due to it's superior handling, and RoF. Not that it matters, but the M4A1 also has a slightly superior noise reduction than the ACR. I've also thought of switching back to the MK17, because of it's insane damage and range/accuracy, but never got to it because of the awesome well-rounded like behavior of the ACR and M4A1.

Between the M4A1 and ACR, which do you think is better, and why?

NOTE: 1) I run the MSR always as my secondary primary/sniper slot 2) I usually play in single-player, taking advantage of the OP sync-shot 3) I usually sneak sync-shot with my MSR when bases are huge and deadly, but after I'm detected I go guns-blazing inward with my AR. 4) I also like the look of the M4A1 over the ACR, cause of it's American bad*** look.

I took the Mk17 over the ACR. I found the ACR didn't hit hard enough or accurately enough. The M4A1 didn't do it for me either. I used the R5 RGP for a while but switched to the Mk17 again.

It is the closest to a "do all" gun. And with the shorty barrel has the best aesthetics vs performance IMHO.

I tend to use it without the GL since I unlocked the Desert Tech HTI. I used the standard HTI and the G28 for a while.

Forget the Stats. Just use the Rifle that "feels good" to you.

Yeah, throw the stats out the window since they really mean nothing in the game and just go with the weapon you like most (aesthetically speaking). Personally I don't like the look of the MK or ACR that much so I stick to the M4A1 or P416 but the P416 is by far the worse even leveled up and I rather throw stones than use it so I stick to the M4A1 or there is a 7.62 assault weapon that is not that bad but I forget the name of it.

What??!! Did you just say use the one that looks the sexiest to you? A well known mission essential op planning parameter!

    You're on report Mister!

BTW: The sexiest is the ACR for me, but I use the MK17 as well.

I myself have switched between the M4A1 and ACR for most of the game. Both weapons were the first to get tier one upgraded. I think they are pretty much on par with eachother in terms of stats so basicly it comes down to your personal preference in terms of looks and sound.

I like the M4A1 just a tad more because of the crisp reload sound when you pull the round in the chamber. Also the range and noise reduction works really well in the base.

Lately though its all about the R5 for me.

Great looks with crisp paint or weathered.
Great sounds with or without surpressor
    Great noise reduction
    Great damage and range

Really the only thing that bothers me about the weapon is the absence of a single shot modus for those tricky headshots.

Maybe try the R5 too? It really worked its way into my heart after giving it a go.

    Happy hunting

if you play stealthy i'd say AUG A3\G2\556xi (best accuracy)

but from your weapons i'd choose m4a1 as a good all-rounder or mk17 as a substitute for SR

if we check all features carefully , the best all around rifle is the sig sauer 556xi. it doesn't have weakness.
