Hi All,


To all those who have experienced crashing on boot, getting the EAC failed to Launch I have found a way to fix the problem after days of messing about!!

Step 1: Perform a Search in OS directory- looking for "EasyAnticheat" Find where 'EasyAntiCheat' is located in my case "C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat" Delete the entire folder there and the ones in Users/AppData/Roaming there might also be one in Users/Admin/AppData/Roaming Delete it aswell Delete them.

Step 2: Navigate to Steam/steamapps/common/Wildlands - Delete the entire EasyAntiCheat folder there, following that Delete 'GRW.exe' and 'rungame.exe'

Step 3: Following on, you now want to perform a registry edit. Go to Start menu on Windows in the search box look for regedit, right click it run as Administrator.
Once regedit is open navigate through/ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\N oEasyAntiCheat once there right click that folder and delete it completly.

Step 4: Reboot Windows, Open Steam 'Verify integrity of game files for Ghost recon Wildlands"

Step 5: Once thats done, Navigate back to " Steam/steamapps/common/Wildlands/EasyAntiCheat.exe - run it as Administrator scroll through the drop down menu look for "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands" Repair it, once Finished your good to go!

got mine thought ubisoft, have uninstalled, verified files, restarted computer, removed easyanticheat folder fro it to re-make one ect still not working.

you have a fix for a NON steam bought version?
cause my game will launch not even to the splash screen just open to a blank screen then exe will close.

ontop of that i have had 38 hours in the game an my pc runs the spec jut fine its only since the last update has this of happened.

This fix worked for me, I have the uplay version as well. followed the steps and its running now.

i have ubisoft version so i followed it as you would but in ubisoft directory and did everything and still crashes on startup before just after the wildlands start up logo on your desktop.

there has to be another fix or ubisoft has to pull something out of their *** to fix thins soon this is becoming very annoying

I had the game won't launch problem. For me the fix was probably an uncommon case. If you've ever installed through steam and then later via uplay, possibly with different licenses, you may want to check your install directory for a file called "distrubution.steam". If your license is through uplay and you are trying launch from there, make sure that file doesn't exist in the install.
