I've been playing this game for three weeks now, so I'm basically new to this community, and I'm already thinking about stopping here. The game is fine, and when I'm matched with good and legit teammates, it's also fun. The real problem are unfair players. I've experienced all kind of nonsense until now. Like getting VK when I'm the last man alive, and that happens a lot. They just go rambo and die. And then it's all on me. Most of the time I can save the game, but when I can't, it's all about messages and VK. I mean, If you died before the "noob", there must be something wrong. Another two "funny things" that happens are: being TK and then kicked when I'm Rook, after putting down the armor bag, with people even sending "thanks" messages. Funny ha? And being TK without reasons. Really, what's wrong with those people and this game doing nothing about them? I've played CSGO and other fps for years, and never saw these things. I'm playing it on xbox one, is it any better on pc? Most of the time, I feel like I'm the only adult person in a room full of kids to deal with. It really ruin the fun.
It's no better on any platform. Friendly fire is a part of this game that is supposed to make players pay attention to the location of team mates at all times while other FPS either let you turn it off or dont even have it to begin with. The problem with the community (actually it is just a few toxic players) is they come from other games without friendly fire and upon finding this game has friendly fire they start killing team mates. As for not seeing it in other FPS games, I used to see it regularly in Modern Warfare trilogy due to players trying to make the character avatar glitch and stretch across the map. I've also seen videos complaining about team killing on Halo games. So it isn't a new thing that suddenly sprung up with Siege.
siege is the biggest cesspit ive ever encountered. its literally unplayable when solo queuing for all the reasons you mentioned. the ONLY way to have fun in siege is if you have 3+ players.
I suggest you find a squad to play with ASAP else your time here will be miserable. sad, but true.
I know how friendly fire works, since I've been playing csgo for years, but I just can't see the connection on this: "I come from a game without friendly fire so I'll just shoot them all on this, because... I can do it" Sorry, but for me it doesn't make sense at all. And it's not a valid excuse.
I never said that this was a new thing. I was referring to all the things I've listed, together. Never saw someone killing you after dropping something useful for the squad and then kicking you, just because... ? It's fun? They're 8 years old? I don't know. But it's a first for me. And I've played a lot of games in my 38 years. I saw a lot of unfair players, but never like this. Honestly, I don't know. Maybe I'm just too used to more mature communities, and this seems so off for me for that reason. And with this, I'm not saying that all the community is like this. I've also met good and legit players. I'm just saying I never had such a bad experience.
Yes, I think that's what I'm going to do. This or I'll just quit. And it's sad, because the game itself it's fun.Originally Posted by sezra13 Go to original post
yeah, at its core siege is one of the best competitive shooters out there. the problem lies entirely with the community though... it is ****ing horrid! Playing siege solo is like entering a crack den full of 10 hiv+ *******s all stabbing you with needles because its "fun"Originally Posted by ZeroType79 Go to original post
Then consider yourself initiated into the way of trolls and trolling because that is the only reason they need to sit around and TK as most chronic TKers don't even bother playing the game seriously, they simply join to TK, get kicked/banned, until they get perma banned, then make a new account and start all over. It's interesting you mention CSGO though as that community is usually in the top 5 worst communities for games. Also, don't forget that griefers on Minecraft are just users that go around destroying buildings and parts of maps in public servers for no other reason than "because they can" and they view it as a form of entertainment for themselves to make other players miserable (kind of like Siege players that intentionally TK and vote kick).Originally Posted by ZeroType79 Go to original post
Again, welcome to trolling. Some players don't view Rook to be useful after he puts his armor pack down. Personally I like Rook and he is a beginner friendly operator as you pick him, place his armor pack, reinforce two walls, and then get ready to shoot the incoming team whereas other operators require you to use more strategy, like Valkyrie and where to place her cams to make the most out of her. I played a round a few nights ago where I picked Echo went up one floor then Doc killed Jager/Bandit (don't recall which as we had both on our team), Vigil DBNO Doc whom picked himself up, then Vigil killed me and they quickly voted to kick me (all I had a chance to do was place razor wire before being kicked). You will get players killing you because you picked the operator they wanted or because you didn't listen to them when they say to play a full team of Recruit or shields or because you are getting the most kills a round (my nephew gets this regularly) or you'll get ones that TK you and then blame you for it (another one my nephew regularly gets). If you know it's not the whole community, then why make a title with such a broad accusation of the whole community? It's also interesting you say this is the worse while CoD is considered to be the worst gaming community on all platforms in every gaming circle on the internet. I could link to a multitude of articles and videos that list the "worst gaming communities" and the top two alternate between Call of Duty and League of Legends. As of yet, Siege hasn't made it into the top 10 of worst gaming communities.Originally Posted by ZeroType79 Go to original post
That's a little extreme as I only solo queue (or enter in a two man squad if my nephew is over) and the only reason I've grown to not like the game is because majority of rounds I am stuck playing with teams that don't use mics, want to talk about being drunk or stoned instead of communicating in the map, or want to back seat game by telling players how to use a character. This game is simply not fun without people you can relate to and it is impossible to relate to anyone if they never talk or talk about pointless crap the entire round. I've been Tked and I record it, upload it as unlisted to my Youtube account, then make a support ticket to Ubisoft in order to report it. From my understanding, PC Siege is by far the worse in regards to toxicity due to it being easier to hack, glitch, and cheat than it is on consoles.Originally Posted by sezra13 Go to original post
You do realize that there used to be no tk bans and a 3 man vote kick. Defenders could glitch outside during prep phase and camp the attackers spawn so the match was over in 1 second after a c4-spawn-teamwipe. There were 5v3 matches all the time because 3 guys could rule the lobby by vote. There was Rook lying dead on the floor for not dropping plates in 3 seconds without any repercussions. Drones glitched in walls and players glitching into places where they became invisible. I could go on but I hope you get the picture.Originally Posted by ZeroType79 Go to original post
Today isn't even comparable to yesterday and yet some of us made it though all that bs. Yes, its a team game and yet players still want to solo it while having the MM quickly go through a set of rules to make sure they dont get matched up with 4 egomaniacs that like to play it old school and rule the lobby the way they see fit. Sometimes you're not welcome to the party and forcing Ubi to tell that 4 man to play nice with you wont help your enjoyment much when and if you ever get paired up with these guys again. They're still going to be drunk and disorderly towards you and you still wont want to play with them anyways.
You don't need 3+, you really only need one other guy to not get voted and you wont get paired with the 4 man ego team that wants to play alone. Or just stop giving a crap and plow through all this shizit like we had to do in the past. My argument doesn't right the current situation but it shows that it is hardly bad enough to uninstall if you honestly like the game. I would much rather see a new player ask for gaming advise than to troubleshoot the mental capacity of the average Siege nutjob.
Get a team..this is the only way you will get everything out of the game that you want and more, and you will never need another rule again. Fact.
I've been trying to get an Xbox One, but I'm on a limited income so while I own a digital copy linked to an account I made through Xbox.com, I've not been able to get the system. As for toxic communities, a recent incident has shown, yet again, why Call of Duty are the top toxic community (Cod and CSGO have a history of swatting), sadly this incident is now the first one that ended fatally.. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nati...icle-1.3726171
