Not that I don't agree about the sprint/walk thing, but the truth is this team has heard the fans: new game+, being able to buy the medjay shield back and so on. Thing is though, changing the control scheme lies way deeper and I don't think it can be easily "fixed".

I can tell you with 100% certainty, that this is a matter of 2-3 hours for one developer to implement. Everything is in the game. All the animations and transitions. This functinality is already implemented for gamepads. Writing some code for it to also apply to keyboard (or, which I believe is even better - to mouse wheel as I proposed in this thread https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...on-Mouse-Wheel) would not be difficult. And they don't even need to change it for everybody - just add this as an alternate / optional feature and everyone is happy.

The problem is not in the difficulty of implementing this. As a Ubi rep has shown in his reply, the problem is in the dev team not realizing what "immersive gameplay" is and how players can enjoy it.

The constant, fixed run is extremely irritating and immersion breaking to me because it simply doesn't feel natural.
Sorry to say, but if you lack the imagination to let it slip that the default is running in a ~100 km² game where you explore vast areas and fight enemies in close combat at high pace then you have bigger problems in life. You could just buy it on a pc where the several extra available keys gives you the opotunity to spend months getting across your single player experience - Or you could fast travel and run like everyone else

And no - pressing a key to run is a horrible idea as it would be pressed 99% to 100% of the time in a normal playthrough

I completely agree. Ubisoft should go back to make the character run without holding.

Οnce you start playing Origins with an XBOX controller, or PS controller for that matter, you can adjust walking/running speed easily. Origins and Odyssey were not meant to play with a keyboard and mouse.
