🛈 Announcement
Greetings! The Division forums are now archived and accessible in read-only mode, please go to the new platform to discuss the game

Please remove key fragments from encrypted caches or stop selling them

I keep getting fragments in my cache, which whilst annoying, is whatever, but please stop selling these things if you're going to load them with this junk.

It's completely unnecessary and likely illegal in some way to charge a person for a key and reward them with 2/3 of a key.

I don't purchase them myself, but this needs stopped.

You have a loyal and dedicated player base here, something quite remarkable and rare, please try to refrain from stealing from them wherever possible.

Why companies choose to expedite their own demise in this way is a mystery to me. I know the take over is close, but crikey, give the new guys something to work with!

heck, id much rather get 4 or 6 key fragments than ANY of the backpack or gun skins. The holiday skins have to be the worst thing ive seen and the rest of them were already pretty horrible.

I understand OP's point and agree. It's one poor system that will allow duplicates to appear thousands of times before the last piece that is available. Which come to think of it, how do we even know when we have collected all of a particular Mark Set?

Side Note: I am looking for the Dragon Lindworm Weapon Skin or the Baluur/Wyvern Backpackers skin... which damn set do they come from? Mark I or Mark II?

    For crying out loud...

There is absolutely nothing illegal about it, "counselor"...

I'm actually okay with getting some fragments in the case of a duplicate reward. I opened a couple last night and just got an item that was '3 key fragments'. An actual item added into the loot pool to remove even the possibility of getting a new reward.

Entirely useless and absolutely unnecessary gouging from a company that made 1,500,000,000 last year.

If you don't purchase them.... what difference does it make?
It's a better reward mechanism than loot RNG. At least I'll use the fragments. The 100th regular lonestar chest... not so much.

I don't care about key fragments because I don't spend a dime on the loot boxes. Loot boxes suck but at least The Division is pretty good at making sure that it doesn't distract from the game. I use the same weapon skin for everything (Stealth) and until Massive figures out a way to make the Classified Nomad gear set not look like sh*t they will never get my money.

Transmogrification.....that probably what I would spend real world money one. My agent needs to look fly.

You're right. Why should I care. It doesn't directly impact me, so whether it's right or wrong is irrelevant...

You would change your tune if you had paid $60 for the "chance" to get something, but only got your lonestar chest.

If, ifs and buts were beer and nuts we'd have ourselves a party.....

the discussion goes back to 1.7 and is filled with hyperbole.
The Division is fine. I did not pay $60 for a lone star chest. nor will I ever feel obligated too, lets not get into ridiculous examples to try and make our point.
