    Game Crashes after Splash Screen.

    Specs:
    1080TI
    4790k Stock
    16GB RAM DDR3
Windows 10 PRO version 1709 (OS Build 16299.125)

    Things I've tried:

✓ Made sure Windows 10 had all updates

✓ Killed Explorer.EXE task and ran game

    ✓ Unplugged Xbox Controller

✓ Unplugged power to HTC Vive Link Box

    ✓ Installed game.cer located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Wildlands\EasyAntiChe at\Certificates

✓ Lauched game from Uplay instead of Steam

    ✓ Restart PC several times

✓ Logged out of Windows 10 account

    ✓ Changed Monitor resolution to Recommended Resolution which is (3840 x 2160) from (1920 x 1080)

✓ Set launch options in Steam to -windowed -w 1920 -h 1080 -borderless

✓ Started the game in Steam with Uplay closed from taskbar by right clicking Steam icon and select GRW.

✓ Unchecked Enable in-game Overlay in both Uplay and Steam

✓ Unchecked Enable Cloud Save Synchronization for supported games in Uplay

✓ Game, Steam, and Uplay are already installed to this location C:\

✓ Delete entire folder and contents from C:\Users\Admin\Documents\My Games\Ghost Recon Wildlands

✓ Restored deleted folder back to C:\Users\Admin\Documents\My Games\Ghost Recon Wildlands

    ✓ Set all settings =1 in GRW.ini

✓ Uninstalling and reinstall Direct X and vcredist

✓ Deleted GRW.EXE and RunGame.EXE then verified file integrity to get fresh copies

✓ Deleted GFSDK_SSAO_D3D11.win64.dll and GFSDK_TurfEffects.win64.dll then verified file integrity to get fresh copies

✓ Verified file integrity several times

✓ Uninstall MSI Afterburner Asus ROG version

✓ Ran both files as Admin GRW.EXE and RunGame.EXE

✓ Ran both files in compatible mode GRW.EXE and RunGame.EXE

✓ Set Program Settings in Nvidia Control Panel For GRW.EXE to
    • AA - OFF
    • Power Management Mode - Prefer Maximum Performance
    • Shader Cache - OFF
    • MFAA - ON

✓ Set Power Management Mode - Prefer Maximum Performance in Nvidia Control Panel under Global Settings

✓ Uninstall and Reinstall - Uplay

✓ Rename various files from update 12/15/2017 to .old

✓ Deactivated Windows Defender in Windows 10

    ✓ Uninstalled Malwarebytes

✓ Unlinked Steam Account from Uplay

✓ Re-linked Steam Account to Uplay

✓ Deleted and Reinstalled EasyAntiCheat several times

The game was working before doing these steps but did crash with this error, Application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware.

✓ Uninstalled Nvidia Drivers and installed latest driver which is Version 388.71 but didn't install GeForce Experience or 3D Vision

✓ Ran DDU in Safe Mode

✓ Moved GPU to new PCI Express Slot

Things I'm not going to do twice because they're not required to fix one game

Uninstall Nvidia Drivers *AGAIN* - Reason being I finally resolved the issue with Windows 10 constantly having Application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware issue, especially for this game.

Uninstall Ghost Recon Wildlands and Reinstall - This game is huge and my upload and download speeds are very low, thus, Reinstalling this game would literally take an entire day to download. I'm not going to give up access to the internet while this redownloads.

Also, I've logged 180 hours in this game so this issue plus Application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware has plagued this game after I upgraded from a Titan X (Maxwell) to ASUS ROG Poseidon GeForce® GTX 1080 TI 11GB Platinum Edition.

    Hey,

Can you please create a case on the support website and submit your DxDiag and MsInfo files for further investigation.

    Thanks

This may be a really odd question, but did you complete that new mission involving the Predator?
I have the exact same issue as you right now, the game ran just fine until I completed that mission. It's a crapshoot, but I thought it'd be worth asking anyway

Unfortunately, I didn't complete the mission because I was trying to fix another issue which was Application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware.

I had the game won't launch problem. For me the fix was probably an uncommon case. If you've ever installed through steam and then later via uplay, possibly with different licenses, you may want to check your install directory for a file called "distrubution.steam". If your license is through uplay and you are trying launch from there, make sure that file doesn't exist in the install.

    Full post details here.

It also doesn't hurt to check the log files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\logs. While the entries didn't jump right out and state the problem, it at least pushed me in a direction. More details in the linked post above.
