I purchased GRW yesterday night, and let it download overnight. When it was done installing, I tried opening the app, but it only came up with the splash image of the title, as well as an error message saying "DirectX error. Please https://support.ubi.com/en-GB/Games/5102 for more information and troubleshooting." After clicking OK, it closes both windows. I tried uninstalling the game, then reinstalling the game, but that did not work. I'm running DirectX 12.
If anyone has the answer, please help a brother out (for lack of a better term).
To get a better idea of your obstacle, does your system meet the minimum requirements for GRW?
If so, have you tried running your DXSETUP.exe as admin and installing DirectX again from your Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands\support\DirectX directory?
If you have, there also the other option of going to Mircrosoft's DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...ils.aspx?id=35) for a standalone DirectX installation. Make sure to run the standalone installation as admin as well.
Let me know what happens.
Hi I tried your suggestions of too do with the DirecX by re-installing and it hasn't worked, i downloaded the link you inlcuded and installed DirectX again as standalone and as admin but the game still gives me an error

Hey steamboy757,
Just to confirm - what's the error message you receive?
Are you able to provide a screenshot it?
The DXsetup.exe should be located in the games default installation folder.
