I would suggest that you contact our technical support team on our support site if you are having this level of difficulty with game crashes.
Please provide a DXDIAG and MSINFO report with the case so that the team can investigate.
You can find instructions on how to create these files and attach them to this ticket in the links below:
iver already sent my dxdiag and msinfo this was the reply
Concerning your ongoing issue with your Ryzen CPU and the crashes related with SMT, allow me to apologise for the inconvenience this issue may be causing you. While we do not officially support disabling SMT, you may of course do so on your own responsibility, if this does resolve the crashes.
As was previously said, we are aware of this situation and our development team is already working towards resolving this issue, although I'm sorry to say that we do not have a specific time frame as to when this may be resolved, since it would be entirely up to this team at this point. However please do refer to our official forums and our support page, since any resolutions for it will be communicated there first and foremost.
I dont have any updates on top of that but can see a good amount of error reports in the MSINFO
Try doing a fresh install of the graphics drivers
- completely uninstall the graphics drivers, there are steps to do so here.
- Reinstall the drivers fresh from the AMD Website.
yeah still doesn't work i play with about 6 different peopleOriginally Posted by Ubi-Trippn Go to original post
all with INTEL and they cant believe how often i crash when i play with them
It is only for AMD Ryzen users. I used to have an Intel i5-2500k and it run Rainbow Six Siege fine but I couldn't stream the game on Twitch with my i5 because it's so bloody cpu heavy, so I decided to build a Ryzen 7 2700x PC with my GTX 1070. The computer is better in every way and runs Siege great at 1080p60fps while streaming, but whether I'm streaming or not the game crashes usually after 1 match, I can hear people using voice but eventually after a minute it will kick me from the game saying connection is lost. No combination of in-game graphics options will fix this, it just freezes and kicks me from the match after about 30 seconds.
It's been doing this for the past 2 1/2 months since I've built the PC which is why I have not even bothered playing Siege if Ubisoft can't be bothered to fix it. Sad because I've bought the Year 2 and Year 3 Season Passes but I'm getting no use out of them. I've spent 2 days trying to figure out what to do and it turns out I need to go into the Bios to disable SMT which is B.S. because I would like to NOT have to disable SMT in UEFI every time I still have not fixed it, shows how lazy they are. Thanks Ubisoft, no wonder you've been going downhill lately with this asian censorship controversy.
I tried this and it did not fix it for me. Got to my second match while doing a local recording with Streamlabs OBS in Terrorist Hunt Realistic and bam game froze in the 4th or 5th Wave and I got disconnected about 45 seconds later. I tried editing the GameSettings.ini with Notepad++ and setting it to read only and nothingOriginally Posted by Ballbreaker-ZA Go to original post![]()
having issues as well, im part of the ryzen family. i can confirm SMT isnt the root issue, i disabled SMT on my desktop and getting same issues with less performance!.
desktop CPU: Ryzen 2600X (swapped between my Vega FE card and my GTX 1080Ti..same issues)
laptop CPU: Ryzen 2700U (APU, iGPU is a Vega 10)
issues i have include, micro pausing/stalling, random unexplained game closing with no error, game locking up hard but not crashing out to an error ( have to force close), huge FPS swings, overall performance loss, huge input lag at random.. hit reg errors, ubi-delays where im killing people or people killing me when we already dive for cover..
is the issue unique to ryzen systems. i dont know. tbh......one of my friends has a i7-7500U laptop with a MX150 and the game blacks out regularly for him or closes without errors or warnings and does it alot in middle of games. i confirmed with him he running latest drivers.. this issue is semi newer of an issue..been on going issue last month or so but last week or so been really bad for him so bad he on hiatus from the game..
Hi guys! As I've told Chris in this forum post, the crashing issue with Ryzen CPUs should have been resolved in a past update. If you have not already, please submit a ticket with your MSINFO files. Once you've made a ticket, please reply back with the ticket numbers so I may look into this for you.
