    Game crashes on launch

    This has become a bit of a joke now.

    I have read through at least 10 forums of people having the same issue. The game crashes on launch.

    I recently reinstalled the game as my friends got it for Christmas so I was going to join them however for 3 days I have been unable to launch the game as the game crashes as soon as the epilepsy warning shows up and Ubisoft are doing jack **** to fix it. I have over 40 hours in game so my PC can run the game it just refuses to do so now. I have tried reinstalling on 4 different hard drives and SSDs, tried verifying the game files, reinstalling drivers and updating my PC alas nothing has worked.

    I understand it is the holidays, but it must also be appreciated some of us only get certain time off for holidays in which is intended to play your games and you have disabled some of us from doing so because your blatant refusal to do anything about your broken games. Please try and get a solution to this problem I know so many others have as well as myself.

    Same

    I just bought this game last night from amazon (deluxe edition), downloaded to play play with my 2 sons since they got new computer for xmas and have to jump through all kinds of hoops to get it to work and still not working, so is there away for me to just simple download the game to the pc without a 3rd party down loader misdirecting parts of the files, and leading to a complete game download.

    Same problem

    I have exactly the same problem. I made everything I found online (Repair - Reinstall - Run as Admin - Check the AntiCheatBear on Regedit - Clean my Start App .....)

    I got the same problem:

    The game start, I can see the videos, logos... and when I click really fast, I can access to the loading screen, but every time, what ever I do, waiting or not... it go to a black screen, then desktop (uplay window) with no error message.

    I am pretty sure it's due to the driver update of Nvidia... or something like that. I can play other games R6 siege, AC Origin...

    It's just Ghost Recon... that's really making me bad.

    Possible Fix

    @Ainsley-Pickens

    I had an issue being stuck on the spinning circle of death after the splash screens. After two days of troubleshooting, I found out GRW.exe CPU Affinity in Task Manager had for some reason set the last eight cores/threads (AMD 1700x) active on each startup. Before the game had a chance to reach the spinning circle of death I went and changed the CPU Affinity to use all sixteen cores/threads via Task Manager. As soon as I did the change the spinning circle of death didn't last more than five seconds and I was able to play the game with no problems. Let me know what happens.

    @AgoMrmadt

    Have you tried uninstalling/deleting EAC in both Game and OS Directory then verifying game files to see if EAC was corrupted? Let me know what happens.

    @lN0t0ri0u5l - Reply

    Hey, I have deleted EAC from Steam folder, verified and reinstalled it no luck, I didn't try OS Directory, I probably should have, however at the momeny I'm im currently reintalling the game via Steam, if that fails Il'll have a look at uninstall/reinstalling OS/Steam directory. Thanks for the tip! Didn't think of that! Hopefully it works! Will let you know!

    You're welcome

    Also, have you tried these troubleshooting points? Let me know what happens.

    Were able to install sucessfully vcredist for GRW?

    Do you have a legal copy of your OS?

    Do you have a anivirus running? - If yes, disable it completely and run GRW.

    I will reinstall vcredist and see how that goes never had issues with it but who knows..

    Yes legal copy of OS I have seen others reinstall thier OS in order to get the game running again, not something I want to do though.

    I have AV runnings yes, and have tried that method of disabling it, no dice.

    Cheers

    Open Ended Troubleshooting Cont.

    Let me know what happens when you try to run the game. I would like to also know what's in your Event Viewer as far as errors/red flags with EAC, Graphic Drivers and anything that happens around the time you launch the game.

    Regards
