The following is a suggestion for a DLC that would be a bit against the formula of Wildlands but I think would make for a good storytelling experience.
Playable Character:
Objectives:Ricardo "Ricky" Sandoval is a former US Marine, and undercover DEA Special Agent who infiltrated the Santa Blanca drug cartel over a 7-year period.
* Infiltrate Cartel known as Santa Blanca
* Gain trust of HVT; known as "El Sueno"
Region 1:
Ricky is attempting to get noticed by the organisation who are currently in a brutal gang war with a rival gang. You must destroy the rival gang in the region.
Region 2 (Some years later):
Ricky - as a mid-level enforcer - must focus his attention on the war between the Bolivian Government and the Drug Cartels. Unidad is created in the middle or late stages of this campaign. Carl Bookheart could make an appearance.
Region 3 (some years later):
Ricky has the trust of El Sueno and must now turn his attention towards the growing rebel movement.
Final Region: Before War in the Cartel
Disillusioned with the lack of progress, Sandoval enacts a desperate plan to force the United States to intervene in Bolivia.
Things about this DLC:
* Provide more screentime to some of the characters you put a lot of time to market.
* Be a good prequel to the War in the Cartel short movie.
* Contain moral choices. Ricky Sandoval must do horrible things in order to gain the trust of the Cartel leaders.
* While you will be unable to alter Rickys appearance, you will unlock more costumes for him from Santa Blanca outfits to slick suits.
* More customizable weapons that of course will be added into the main campaign.
* This will not be a Co-Op Experience. I want something that is entirely meant for Single Player and therefore is better suited for storytelling.
* I should not have to mention this but this should be darker than Fallen Ghosts - dark on the level as most of the later Far Cry Games. It should not be like Narco Roads.
The problem with having that attitude is that if you have it, it will become true. It does not have to be that way.Originally Posted by KmarkoPL Go to original post
If you keep suggesting the stuff you do want, you can at the very least make your points for the next games in development. I do not think most of what I say will get implemented but I do trust Ubisoft to keep track of what is suggested and make a note of that.
If there was any DLC planed, it would be already announced.Originally Posted by JonathanRL Go to original post
I haven't seen any information about that, and knowing Ubisoft game development, I can tell that after last content gets released, there will be nothing more.
Ubisoft is now working on next projects Ex: Far Cry 5 , Beyond Good And Evil 2, and so the remaining team slowly moves off from current games.
You are still missing the point. By stating the things you do, you indirectly say there is no point in providing feedback and requests and that one should not bother. I do not agree. I know there is pretty much no chance for this to be created but I post the suggestion so that Ubisoft will know what kind of content I would appreciate for this game so they can take that into consideration for the next if they are unable to create something similar for Wildlands. I might even be wrong and the support may be big enough to warrant another DLC and then they might think that "hey, lets make it a SP one instead of Ghost War".Originally Posted by KmarkoPL Go to original post
See, the only way to lose as a customer is if you do not provide any feedback or suggestions at all. Then you simply accept the game with flaws and all.
50% of the threads/post in this subforum are about player requests that got ignored.
Feel free to keep posting suggestions, but you better don't expect other players to get excited about player engagement after what Ubisoft has been doing with this game and the feedback it got
Regarding your idea:
1. This might have been the right way to go with Narco Road, but for me personally I don't want another DLC that isn't based on Ghost teams. Sorry, but this game is no where near any respectable RPG with choices and stealth gameplay. All the work that would be need to make it interesting is nothing that Ubisoft has ever done in other games and I am not expecting this to be their forte.
2. Since this game was 99% designed for coop play, I don't see a single player DLC being something that fits its gameplay. Sandoval worked alone, the NR character did as well, but since logic has no place in NR nobody cares if there are several ghost playing it. Nobody took NR serious. Heck, most played it solo since they couldn't find anyone willing to play it![]()
This would be something that belongs in a different game with completely different mechanics and different focus in gameplay. Sticking to GRW mechanics it would turn out even worse than the original solo experience.
Dont get me wrong, I think you're probably right, but that has not been confirmed. None of us can really make definitive statements about year 2.Originally Posted by KmarkoPL Go to original post
As JonathonRL points out, even if it is only for the next game it is worth making suggestions and providing feedback - a lot of the Future Soldier feedback is in Wildlands. Besides even if we're only spitballing about the game, what's the harm in it. I like reading about and discussing the game and seeing players' ideas for it.
Discussing what a proper GR experience is never a bad idea and I do like Jonathan's idea a lot but I am in no way expecting it due to the fact that history tells us it won't happen... it doesn't hurt to talk about it though.
It would be nice to know what Ricky did to get inside the cartel up to the point where he got caught and executed... it would make for a nice DLC.
