Fix This Game
I purchased Trials Evolution: Gold Edition today, and have been thoroughly disappointed. I've uninstalled and reinstalled this game twice. I've verified the integrity of game files 5 times. I've tried every possible combination of VSync and Anti-aliasing (keeping resolution at 1280 x 720 and everything else at off or low). After playing the game for about 10 minutes since the first installation (not reinstallation), my game crashed. Since then, I can't go through any level without constant screen tearing. 90% of the time, the game just crashes. If I manage to make it past the title screen, I have about 5 minutes before the game crashes, and I have to play with screen tearing that almost forces me to physically turn away from the monitor. If I try to load a custom track, the game just crashes, but that's assuming I can get to track central without crashing first. And assuming I can get past the title screen without crashing, I can use the track "Meltdown" as an easy way to crash my game (the big explosion at the beginning). The worst part about this is that I don't understand the cause of this. I know it's not my computer, as my computer is only a year old and was bought in "new" condition. It can run every other game I own at 120 FPS and not crash, even GTA V. It has the specs required to run the game too. Is the cause of this a lack of continued dev support for the game? I mean, it hasn't been updated in 3 years. If not, what should I do to fix this?
