Hello, so last summer my aunt was in China and she bought me GRW - Ghost Recon Wildlands.. At first I didnt got it working because it was in region locked to only china.. So I decided to beat the system and used Chinese VPN.. I got the game installing... After that I faced next problem: the game was in Chinese... So I didnt find any fixes for this and waited... I went to work on summer and got 60€ and bought GRW on steam... It conneted automatically with my Uplay account... I installed the game and got in... everything was perfect... Now I decided to reinstall it again and go play with friends...(Installed it on steam) First it said This will bind the following products to your Ubisoft account, R4ntzZz (my gmail): - Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands... I pressed countinue: There was a problem authenticating the ownership of this product. Please contact customer support if you need help solving this problem. So I pressed close and it opened my Uplay... Then I installed GRW on Uplay aswell.. So now I have 2 GRW downloaded... If I open one in steam it still gives me those errors and if I open one in Uplay it starts up the Chinese one...
Attention! Yes, the game in steam is English version.
And yes I have tried changing passwords and deleting stuff from folders...
I sent a support ticket to Uplay aswell like 2-4 days ago and I havent got any feedback, and I understand that its holidays at the moment
I hope someone could help me out with this problem

Merry Christmas
Hello,
I just want to remind you that VPN's are illegally when trying to break Regional Law. I suggest in future you do not use a VPN as often they are untrustworthy. Nevertheless, you have purchased a legal copy of this game on Steam and therefore I'll try and assist you as far as I can.
So, when a Ubisoft game is first purchased on Steam, after installation of course, it will bring up a dialogue which will ask you if you wish to bind X Items to your account. So for an example with this specific game; Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Now I have a question and my response is pretty much bellow each one in turn.
Did you activate Ghost Recon: Wildlands on the SAME Ubisoft account as the Chinese Version?
If you did then my experience tells me that this is the root of the problem. I believe because you have already activated an edition of the game on the same Ubisoft account means you are unable to activate another copy. So I take it then the error message means the game hasn't actually been activated? If so then I believe this is the problem and therefore you will need to activate Ghost Recon: Wildlands on a DIFFERENT Ubisoft account, unfortunately. But before you ask, you cannot remove the current version.
In order to do this:
- Go to https://account.ubisoft.com/ and create a NEW Ubisoft account.
- Once you have verified your E-mail and completed all nessecary instructions, Log into this account through the Uplay Client.
- Once you are logged in, go back into your Steam client and run the game again. This time it should ask you if you want to bind the game to your NEW Ubisoft account. Unfortunatley, this is the only option to get your game to run.
- It should now bind the items and start your game.
Worst case scenario and that doesn't work and you STILL get the same error message, print screen or take a screenshot of said error message and show me the problem and I'll try to help you further. However, I do believe this is the reason why.
Good Luck,
Storxm
