Hello,
I am trying to play Far Cry 4 with a Xbox One Wireless controller through and when the controller connects to the game, it will say gamepad connected, but the buttons are mismatched and some buttons don't work. XY and AB are mapped to the directions and RB is mapped to exit. Is there any way to fix this?
Hey there. Try giving the troubleshooting steps listed a below a try.
1. A full power cycle reboots the console fully. Doing this does not erase any of your games or data.
Check out the video above, or follow the steps below to power cycle your Xbox One console:
Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds.
Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.
If you don't see the green boot-up animation when the console restarts, repeat these steps. Make sure that you hold the power button until the console completely shuts down.
Note If your console is in Instant-On power mode, the steps above will shut the console completely off. Instant-On mode, or the ability to turn on your console by using voice commands, won't be enabled until you restart the console. (Voice commands are not supported in all countries.)
2. Try connecting the wireless controller to the console again
On the wireless controller
Hold down the wireless connect button until the Xbox button flashes.
Hold down the wireless connect button again. The light on the Xbox button on the controller will stay on, indicating that the wireless controller is connected to the console.
I'm so sorry. I forgot to mention that I am playing on PC
