I had a great time on this GE, and 1.8 is the best version

Full disclosure, I'm just a casual player with a few good friends who help me when times get tough in the DZ, incursions and underground. I don't cheat or use exploits. I just play the game straight, as designed.

That said, this GE was the best event so far helped by, in my opinion, update 1.8 is the finest version of The Division, yet. This game has given me the most enjoyment of any game I've bought, by far. I look forward to each new event and update.
I'm also very thankful to the developers and PTS participants who help make this game as fair and balanced as possible.

And now that I have a classified Bashee set, I have something to add. If you leave me alone in the DZ, that will be the end of it. We will both go our own ways. But to those who have downed me in the DZ, I will look for you, I will find you and I will kill you.

Big thank you to all involved.

Gee, you sound like a paid promoter. The best thing about 1.8 is the Optimization station. It can take over a hundred attempts at the crafting table to get a weapon with the right set of talents for a specific gear set (such as Tactician). But it will usually have middling DMG or EAD. The Optimization table fixes that using around 6x50 = 300 D-tech. This is the great breakthrough in the game. Call it the crown jewel or capstone.

I agree, I'm loving 1.8 so far. I have several more ranks to go in Underground. I really haven't committed to a proper Resistance run. Still need to beat Stolen Signal, YIKES.

Have to agree. This update I feel the changes allow me to use a lot more variety in weapons and gear, without sacrificing too much in terms of performance. And thats opened up new avenues of game play.

The Strike event I have really enjoyed. It was fun to learn new tactics :-)

Strike was meh as a GE. The other ones were much more fun.

However, I'm pretty happy with 1.8, being of the PvE persuasion. Means I can do all kinds of stuff with my builds without worrying as much about folding like paper the moment an NPC breaks wind in my general direction, or blind-fires at me from 150m away with an SMG. ^_^

Sucks about Firecrest, but I can live with it.
