Finally got after an unknown number of superior caches the final single piece I needed to get all 4 sets. Unknown because I lost count a long time ago. Anywho the one thing I'm still missing out on is Big Al and I'd read that while the 900 token cost cache wasn't as rewarding for classy gear it had a higher chance at dropping exotics. So I throw down some tokens and buy 4 of them. Exotic exotic exotic and then a classified out of them....wow this is great! Go ahead and spend some more time in Lex and then do a pair of LZ boss runs to break the monotony....open another 8 of them....not a single bonus item all straight trash.
I'm hard pressed after reading all of the stories of experience with RNG this GE to not believe that the first ones because they were the first ones I bought at the 900 level were triggered to drop good stuff and thereafter I was shafted....I mean I hope and believe that isn't the case but c'mon Massive/Ubi/Redstorm you have to know by now that the RNG is broken.
My Friend and I came back to the game after a bit of a break. I normally run predators mark and he normally runs D3fence. So we were quite excited to try the new classified versions of the gearsets, and set about playing all week to get a load of caches. We open them all last night, and what a suprise the only gear set i complete is D3fence and the only gear set he completes is Predators.
We opened a total of 100 caches each, and we both get the gearset the other person has been dying to try out. All we can do is dismantle it in front of each other and if honest that feels pretty ****ty. He has no interest in being told what 6 piece d3fence is like and me likewise with predators.
We've said it from day one but it actually feels like theres something built into the game that listens out for stuff you say and it gives you the exact opposite. Almost like google and key wording.
We'll keep searching for those sets but to anyone at massive that may or may not care, we are returning players with over 3000 hours play time between us and tbch the RNG in place for this event was a pretty crappy way to welcome new and returning players alike. #justsayin
