Yeah, 1200 hours in, I think I'm done too, burned out. This weekend session with my friends will be my last, for a while at least. I've got my money's worth and it was a great blast, particularly the coop sessions with 3 other friends all on computers in the same room.

There is a whole host of reasons for leaving, the devs who are deaf to the community is one thing, but I think this last GE just showed how RNG can shaft you big time. The Superior caches had two gear pieces, each with a 45% chance of a classy. The stupid thing about those odds is that each of those rolls had less than 50% chance, and some players (myself included) got the bum end of the deal. If the devs had given it some logical thought, they could have kept the 90% odds they were aiming for, but made the first roll 80% and the second 10%, that way you were more or less guaranteed to get one, and if lucky, 2 pieces of gear.

I could get the remaining pieces I need by endlessly farming the LZ bosses. Or I could try my luck extracting them from the DZ. No, I don't think so.

I'll check up on the player numbers next week because I'm still interested in the game.

3500 hours both pve pvp. Pvp is trash since 1.8 and all mission are simply not challenging enough, mostly because over powered pvp and pve gearsets and stamina increase. All i have are memorys now. i really cant see any point in playing much more but ive had a lot of fun and look forward to number 2.

    Thanks

I agree. If I were a new player just starting out in The Division I would be overawed.

The Division is one of my top 5 games of all time; right up there with the likes of Quake, WOW and Half Life.

Congratulations to all of the developers.

I understand the frustration of opening a lot of caches and not finishing the set you want, and I think there should be a way, even if heavy on mats/time etc., to obtain a specific piece of classified that you need. I've been sitting at 5/6 Striker (missing holster) for 250 hours of efficient farming play. That's too much. Too damn much. However, loot chase is a significant part of what keeps the longevity for the game so it should be costly to target specific pieces, but it should be possible.

If you've not opened 100 caches, you've no right to complain.

Understandable! I had 5 pieces missing from 1st event. Managed to get 2 farming LZ bosses / FP cache before this event. Then I got final pieces of kit 1 of for each LS (FP cache) and FM & DE from the DZ in this event. So thats shows you the RNG to date between events is bullcrap. Unless.... you farm the DZ. Which is what alot of players suspect. Havent seen one classy drop outside the DZ for months and none ever from bosses in mission or UG.

The thing of it is Ive spend probably 50+ hrs playing this week. And my friend spend maybe 1/2 that to get their full 4 sets. So if you dont mind running 5p classy till you get lucky in the DZ or from an FP cache then I can see why ppl will feel like leaving. For me Ive not been able to get another Nomad holster or Banshee CP. Only one of each - with dozen of dupes for the other items. Its frustrating but probably working as intended!

I got my classified preds, DF and the House, so I'm happy. I guess.

But there's nothing more frustrating and annoying, when you grind end on end, hours on end, for a week, relying on RNG.... only to get nothing. Poor show, and an absolutely terrible experience for those who's luck is not on their side.

Instead what we shouldve got is items that could be purchased for GE. That way people got what they wanted for the grind they put in.
