Me and my friends all ran D3 4 piece (mostly not classified) with the mobile cover that blinds NPCs when deactivated; big chunky free flashbang grenades :P
We died twice in the final room because the NPCs exploding kept killing the bosses early, and it took use about 30-40 minutes to complete.
I loved it when I saw 5 commendations complete at once. It was just a huge list of currencies and cipher keys floating in front of me.
Very difficult but rewarding to finish.
Thanks, I'm not sure. We just loadouts ready, so if we had to switch, the security skills were saved on that loadout. we just two people running shields in the final encounter. Our shield guys would switch between loadouts. we did it in challenging mode with preemptive strike modifier. You are allowed to wipe and restart a encounter. you can fast to therminal if you need to reroll or pull an item in your stash. Just make sure you had someone in the incursion.Originally Posted by BoorishComet54 Go to original post
Just make sure everyone is running combat medic.
I done it with randoms. The part I struggle with is with the electric floor. How the hell are you supposed to avoid the electrical damage AND avoid getting shot at AND keep shooting at the heavy heading to the hostage all at once? Let alone killing the boss (I tend to snip him with a sniper rifle myself).
I can climb up onto that table, but then I'm open to fire.
I can use a medkit station but then it needs to recharge. Everyone else also has their own medkit stations that they'll need to use to stay alive.
It gets even worse when the electric charges come in faster once the boss is on low health. ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! Little room to even breath. The rest is at least possible if you're persistent enough.
You need one person who is running atleast 3 piece reclaimer and knows what they are doing so they have a support station with the bonuses of all modifiers (the most important one being immunizer) and know how to place it in that room and then it is very useful to have at least 2 people in the group that have 3 piece final measures for the grenade defuse. Well placed fire turrets will also hinder the heavies and potentially help to give you more time to take down the boss.Originally Posted by Veldaz Go to original post
It is really a horrid one to do with randoms - but in some ways that is OK those kind of challenges can be interesting - but then they shouldn't be using it as a pre-requisite for stuff like the GE - especially sucks for me as so far I've never not had the last room bug out.
The other incursions and heroic missions you can get through one way or another using your favourite build/your style aslong as the rest of the team is half switched on but SS forces people to play specific styles that they might not be interested or comfortable with which kind of sucks when the developers treat it as if it is just another incursion.
