Enough is enough Ubisoft, make GE cache classified items tradeable
Ubisoft,
Come on, seriously.
This blatant attempt to keep people playing, a "point-and-click slot machine" is absolutely ridiculous.
Reward group play, and have people actually able to enjoy the new classified sets during an event by making them tradeable and encourage people to play as a team. Instead of having them grind away on the same mission for 8+ hours expecting to get a classified piece they need.
People will still play your game in order to find similar pieces to optimize their new set, and I see no reason not to allow this except for some skewed concept that having people go though this ridiculous hoop of running the same mission over and over to get credits to open a chest and have a roll on the slot machine is actually enjoyable.
Trust me, it isn't. In fact, it's just downright frustrating. If any of your development team has actually played an event then you would know how much of a useless time sink this is. Only knowing that if you don't do it, there is absolutely no chance of finding these classified set items again until the great "loot drop chance increase" that you are toting in front of us like some carrot on a stick.
We aren't donkeys, we are human beings. With lives, and other activities that pull on our time.
To expect your player base to do this is beyond insulting, it is bordering on devious.
Your game mechanics are in my opinion, broken, and adding basic set items into GE caches is beyond stupid.
We simply want our time we spend in your game to be rewarded, not spent being rewarded with crafting components.
Come on, give a little, trust me, your player base will thank you.
I would take a hard look at other loot systems and what they do, I think you could learn a thing or to.
Unless there is someone in a suit and tie that is telling you to make it this way, if so, I would suggest finding a new place to work, or growing a pair and try thinking of the reputation of your company and your products. More importantly, think about Tom Clancy and his name that you have attached to his product.
Anyway, this is simply my opinion so feel free to listen to it or not, but I logged off The Division today, tired and frustrated after spending my weekend trying to accomplish a goal with my friends, and winding up one piece short of completing the set I wanted. Doubting if I will ever log in again.
I have truly enjoyed the time I have spent in The Division, but if nothing changes, I doubt I will even attempt the other global events, or purchase any expansions in the future.
Your move Ubisoft.
