    Screen Clutter

I know everyone is glad Ubi got rid of a lot of clutter from the previous Far Cry’s, but it seems as though they have just replaced it with different clutter.

It’s kind of bothersome that no matter the distance or visibility, players can see a little diamond above pretty much all NPCs. No matter where you go, you’re gonna see it.

Same with the outpost icon, that thug sticks around when you’re approaching it. Previous Far Cry’s didn’t need them, I don’t Far Cry 5 needs it either.

    And the hunting signs.

Many if not all of them will be optional.

This. They're adding in-world icons due to not having a mini-map, so that people are able to identify those things without relying on accessing the map to know what they mean. Like the last few games, most, if not all of those things, will be able to be turned off no doubt, so it's as close to a non-issue as it can get if you ask me...

EDIT: Just found this video that shows the first few minutes being played with NO HUD and all those icons on NPC heads & everything are gone, there is NO on screen HUD at all from the looks of it.

I dont like the glow around highlighted enemies either, but as Vira said, most if not all will likely have an option to disable.

Remember that FCP also has a Survivor extreme difficulty added in...I would be willing to be that system will return in FC5 for the hardcore players.

THe For hire system seems to also be a copy paste of the Beast Master system in FCP.

So it is cool to see some of the cool features from the past migrating over, but its also cool to see ubi shedding some of the repetitive crap from other past games.

The for hire system here, while not really a system I'm particularly excited about, does seem to have a lot more depth to it than the tamed beasts of Primal though. All primal did was give beasts a class and each class had a particular strength. Cats were stealthy with low health, bears were tanks etc. With the for hires, the 9 specialists all seem to have their own specific perks & benefits, and the random civvies you can hire can actually be upgraded by gaining perks & skills when you use them, so that is actually a lot cooler than I was expecting. Even if I'm not very excited about the system in general, having that progression there at all will give me more motivation to use hires than I previously expected to....

Intersting, I didnt know the for hires had skill trees. Cool!

As for random npcs, I dont think they will be for hires, its specific pre determined people in the game that you come across / unlock like in FCP with the beasts.

Thats what I thought to, but if you've watched any of the footage that started coming out lately you can totally hire certain random NPCs that are not the specialists. Grace, Nick & Boomer are all specialist Guns (or fangs in the case of boomer) for hire, but you can also hire certain NPCs who will tag along with you. The specialists start out with 2 perks, the random people have to unlock them by meeting certain kill thresholds. This is a pic of a random hire who as you can see on the bottom has not yet unlocked any skills.
