After reading some of the posting I was thinking maybe the one reason why sometimes its hard to get a certain gear set is that there are so many gear sets and unclassified gear sets. There are like maybe 6 different gear sets and now there are 6 different unclassified gear sets to add to the regular gear sets. So with that many gear sets the odds of getting a certain one are low. This is just my opinion, but maybe what would be a good suggestion would be sticking with the unclassified gear sets since they have more major abilities when you equip all 6 of the gear sets and get rid of the regular gear sets since they get only has high as 4 gear with a main ability. This might help with the chances and the odds of getting more better armor. I am not sure, but it is just a thought.
Actually there are 6 Classified sets from the first 2 Global Events combined, this one features another 4 sets, and the next Global Event will have another 4 Classified sets.Originally Posted by soulscythe80 Go to original post
After this event is over you will have a 1 in 10 chance of getting an item from the set you want, and a 1 in 6 chance of it being the item you are looking for.... since there are a total of 60 a classified items (10 sets, 6 items per set). After this event is over, your best chance at getting a Classified item is 3% and when you get that drop, you have a 1 in 60 chance of getting the item you want. Hopefully it has the perks... you need.
I just feel like it I am doing a lot of grinding and I can not get any of the DN3 gear I have four of them equipped, but I need new ones with better armor and better abilities and I have not gotten any of them. I have been getting other good gear set, but not the one I need. I feel like I need to just change my build completely.
Why change your build completely? How many characters are you running, and how many load outs are you using? You would be better of setting up another build on that character, and see if you like it.Originally Posted by soulscythe80 Go to original post
Keep playing you will get the drops, eventually. After the 4th GE comes out they will be increasing the drop rate.
This is why (with the corrections from alibby53's post) I'm questioning the random - I'm not seeing a good spread over all the classifieds, etc. which in itself isn't necessarily a bad thing if they weighted towards the new classifieds but the story doesn't end there - I've got 5 out of the 6 pieces for both banshee and predator classified sets and many multiples of those pieces but never whichever the last one of those sets is (I'm not interested in those sets ultimately and dismantling them for div tech to optimise my current loadouts but its been interesting to see what drops) and tons of classified D3-FNC gloves over and over but rarely any of the other bits and the rest of the time its largely normal predator's gloves and only about 10% of the caches I've opened have been a random scatter shot of other items.Originally Posted by soulscythe80 Go to original post
Fortunately I've no interest in this GE completing the sets as the only classifieds I'm interested is some tacticians when they are released and the odd D3 bits to round out a hybrid build but it is starting to feel like the kind of con ran by fairground games :s and that isn't a pleasant feeling in a video game.
I think one of the hard parts with RNG is if it's truly random, then anything is possible. I get gloves, you can't get gloves... but it is starting to seem like there is weighting in there.Originally Posted by Rroff Go to original post
Struggles to get that last piece, a lot of Classified i've seen have low armor rolls causing more Div Tech to be needed to fully optimized them. RNG doesn't seem to be truly random, it does seem to be weighted against us.
If all you care about is the other sets that have been released, then grind for them now, after this week the loot pool will be further diluted by adding the 4 sets that are in the current event, and they aren't increasing the chances of getting Classified gear until after GE 4 finishes. Even if you son'to care about the sets, buy the Superior Caches, they're free for you.
