As frustrating as it is, it’s working as intended. Adding a 4th set and a 5th set (if we consider the unclassified version a separate set) really watered down the drop rates.

It’s too late to do anything about it this ge but hopefully they’ll tweak some math or something for the next one which will also have 4 classified sets, 4 regular sets, and exotics

They won't, this way each Global.Event gets the same crappy mechanics.after GE4 comes out, hopefully they will fix them and make them more reasonable

It was from that point I noticed thing started changing for the better.

My point is that GEs were the product of the time before the managers and directors knew the extent of the Divisions core issues.
I think the GEs should definitely evolve to something interesting, and better than mission modifiers and purchasing caches; that's all GEs are.
Personally I really enjoy the GEs for the most part - I started the game a little before the Assault one - just some relatively small issues that really let this one down - the strike modifiers seem to be vulnerable to a well known damage bug from legendary missions which is quite questionable and some of the maths for drop rates and commendations (and the method they are achieved) don't seem to have been particularly thought through.

Maybe working as intended but its certainly not working in a particularly good way - I'm getting endless amounts of duplicates and normal gear pieces in a way that is definitely not truly random - even taking into account that some degree of modifying the "random" might be required for legitimate gameplay/balance reasons.

This is why I'm not grinding my *** off right now..Because when it's all said and done and the events are over..This stuff will probably drop as much as the other green gear that used to be so rare to get or those exotics that keep clogging up my stash that really are not that exotic..

There will be a new shine around the corner that will keep people running old content to death.

It won't be long before we are all just talking about builds, rather than actually just getting the gear..just like everything else in the past.

Been good for me so far

Not open that many however it seems to rain classified items with the odd exotic. Getting a full set seems hard.

Best bit of luck I got was last night a double exotic drop Heal & the house

As far as I'm concerned if you are spending 1500 credits per cache it should be guaranteed classified drops, the only thing RNG should determine is whether or not you get the piece you need.

^^^^ agreed, if we're buying a cache that is only available during the event it should guarantee items from that event.

Agreed, if you're earning the currency (only available during an event) to buy a cache from the event, it should guarantee gear from that event.
