Same problem here with same board and cpu.
    Ubisoft donsnt like AMD 8350
BTW the troubleshooting steps are useless, i updated drivers, disable AMD cool and quiet, change windows energy mode and so on.
At this moment i feel we are playing a beta game.

Got a FX-8350 here also on a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 mainboard, disabling Cool & Quiet and ErP in the Bios fixed it for me.

    There is a fix

    Hello guys,

I've found a fix in another thread which seems to be undiscovered by Ubisoft themselves yet. I've tried it with the 990FX mobo GTX 970 4go and FX-8350.
You simply have to go to the bios and then put your CPU on 1 core per CU mode. It will make the FX-8350 work as a quad-core CPU which is said to be decreasing performance but in my case and I think in case you're playing video-games much than you're making stuff which requires the 8 cores you would NOT see any difference.

"I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue. We are aware there is an issue with the AMD FX-8350 model, this is still being investigated. "

"Disable the Cool and Quiet feature in BIOS settings and set the Power Plan to High Performance. Please note that a good cooling solution is also recommended in order to avoid overheating issues, should you implement this workaround."

Hey, thats great, now what are the results? People that give your company want results, not excuses. What is being done? I am getting the Blue Screen of Death and the game is damn near unplayable. My machine isn't utdated I have looked at system requirements and my computer exceesd them.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that while programming a game, which I understand can take years to do, there is playtesting and focus groups and a myriad of testing that is done BEFORE the game is released on a multitude of types of platforms. Why does it seem then after launch and the a patch later things weren't tested? I understand that people are on computers 7 days a week, but you guys have state of the art multi thousands of dollars in hard ware and develop engins and soething like this happens, The community is getting things that they have been complaining about for MONTHSSSSS. Now what?
