DZ, on my route 6 rikers just run kill and don't pick up nothing till its not something rly worth..Originally Posted by Edgemoor Go to original post
Yep... this challenge is impossible.
150 named Rikers in six days is ridiculous.
And as has been pointed out, you do not get credit for the kill unless it is your bullet.
I am farming solo, so i don't have a team mate to compete with for the kill...
But...
Several of my Riker boss kills did not register because, even though I gunned them down, the killing blow was delivered via another NPC blowing up nearby.
This is an unrealistic challenge
I think most people would rather blow their own brains out than repeatedly do the last bit of Lexington for nearly 2 hours - its a struggle just to grind it repeatedly with a team as is.Originally Posted by Garyfairbrass Go to original post
It is a boring challenge, but is really more geared to people that have 4 characters or at least more than 1.
There are 3 Light Zone Riker Bosses, Bullet King, Chains and Riot. You can do all 3 pretty quickly on each character every 4 hours. With 4 characters and only logging in to do that 2 times a day, once when you start and again 4 hours later that would be 24 kills in a day. There is also today at least 3 of the Daily HVT's that have RIker Bosses, 2 of the missions have 1 and the other 3 for a total of 5, again across 4 characters that would be another 20. There is a weekly HVT (the easiest one at the top) that has 3 Riker bosses x 4 characters is another 12. Check the Daily HVT's daily for Riker bosses and do the Light Zone 3, add in a few Lexington Runs, or some Dark Zone Riker Landmarks, or Underground and WSP (both of those are more of a gamble not knowing what's going to pop up), do the math and while it seems unrealistic it is very doable, just not fun.
For the most part I agree. And yeah it does seem to be geared to those with multiple characters. I really don't think it should be though, it really doesn't seem like fair play.Originally Posted by USMC_Tallin Go to original post
The number of times I don't get credit for the kill simply because of an exploding corpse or something else is pretty frustrating. The chances of getting credit by running Lex for example is really poor.
As it is this achievement doesn't really encourage group play and, because of the high rng and high count, doesn't really encourage you to play the event. Plenty of other reasons, but I feel this achievement is one of the major draws, because of the mask, and it is probably out of reach for most because it is so random.
My feeling is the kill count should either be lowered, or you should get credited with the kill regardless of how the boss dies.
I ended up doing the Larae Barrett thing... killing her 141 times in about an hour and a half. It was stupid AF, but it's done. I just put Netflix on the other monitor and sniped away. I found that if after dropping her, if I ran in and exploded 2 propane tanks onto myself, I would insta-die... which was much fast than letting the heavies kill me. Doing this WT1 method is total cheese, and a total slog, but so is the whole event. I mean... Run Lexington over and over until your eyes bleed, just for a chance to get more nomad non-classified items out of the stike caches. I have never been so frustrated trying to get gear. And when I do get classy gear, it's always duplicates. I have 3 pieces of 3 sets (5 of D3, the one I couldn't care less about), and of those 3 pieces I have either 3 or 3 of each of them. It's dumb! At least the first one with exploding heads was entertaining, and both one and two you felt strong. This one makes you feel totally weak. Everything hurts you. And then commendations tied to not using healing skills. So, so dumb...
