So another trailer for PvP content released but still no info on any campaign updates.... We've been giving these devs mountains of good quality ideas to save the campaign mode for this game and give it replayability but they just keep ignoring us to focus on PvP. They said they'd give us info on a campaign update before the end of the year, well frankly that's too vague and in my opinion way too late. At this point I have zero hope that any new content will be worth returning to this game. With our luck we'll probably just get more recycled content like reskinned weapons & vehicles. Or maybe they'll add some new cosmetic items like hot pink mini skirts or clown face paint....
the trailer i saw was on reddit for pvp update jungle storm. coming on dec 14th i think it said. they only announced one of the new classes as the other is going to be based on a new legend being added into the main game. theres a thread on reddit somewhere about it. people guessing what it will be etc. might help?
but i guess itll be a suprise till the update like the other legend challenge type stuff, yeti / el tio sort of thing? but whatever its going to be they have to be able to base a pvp class on it.
soooooooo,.... if it is hot pink mini skirts and clown face paint, ....well id play pvp more just to see that class in action.![]()
IMHO, PvP is far more interesting. Until they can code AI in the games to be as crazy devious as humans, campaign modes will be a consolation when you internet connection fails.Originally Posted by PissedMoreBlood Go to original post
The Campaign is dead because the Devs couldn't hack it with the AI, despite their BS excuse of a vision. True, it takes time to code a good ai and they know they don't have to because people will tend to go for the eye candy (beautiful world) instead off for what the game is all about... shooting. Not that making a beautiful world is easy but it sure appears is a lot easier than making good shooting mechanics.
There are a lot of folks who still buy games for the solo and/or co-op experience with no desire to play PvP. ....soured by past PvP experiences with others.Originally Posted by MrFrugal Go to original post
Clairavoyant AI, Insta-spawning SAMs, Drone Helo controls, giving away weapons in PVP that PVE has to pay for and not use in regular campaign, Arguably terrible DLCs (especially Narco Road), Non-military goodie packs that are extremely overpriced (My fav is the google eyed googles), lack of a jump button so even a slight bump can stop you from advancing until the x to cross shows up (if it does), badly researched weapons and accessories (Aug 42rd mag as 30rd mag, no suppressors on LMGs, no bipods), teammates that look like a boy band that don't dress to match (disguise yourself as SB to infiltrate a base and they will still wear the exact same clothes giving you away everytime), BB throwing miniguns (not to mention the BB throwing 20mm rotary cannon on the AH-1 that should eat everything in seconds) that fire at 400rpm but sound like 4000rpm, that is all I can think of off the top of my head that wasn't in the Dev's vision, I know there is more. But heh, that is a really beautiful world. Oh insta-spawning Unidad reinforcements that never run out no matter how many you kill, forgot that one. Some more: bad ballistics that drop super fast, almost empty bases, low powered scopes, can see farther than you can target (even though the target is perfectly clear at 600m can only target with binocs at 400-450m).Originally Posted by GiveMeTactical Go to original post
But that is some awesome scenery! And so much sky 10,000ft ceiling by my estimate. Too bad all the planes and choppers fly at about 150-200ft up.
I noticed something that I have been meaning to ask and since it has to do with the main campaign I will put it here instead of opening a new post....
is it just me or when you steal a Helo you only need to take it across the mountain but when you steal a plane, sometimes you take it as far as 7 KM crossing 1 or even 2 provinces. I am not saying this happens all the time but I did noticed longer rides on the airplane.
