They can all dance on the same map at the same time, up to 6 dancers.Unfortunately, all the coop features are multiplayer online, yonika1000.Originally Posted by yonika1000 Go to original post
Just Dance 2016 and 2017 had a coop mode where friends and family could dance together offline with frustration-free, non-competitive scoring: It didn't show individual scores for the song result, so you didn't know who won (but on the other hand, if you beat your own individual hi score, you didn't get credit for it). Instead, it showed you how many gems out of 10 you earned as a team (although you needed 4 dancers to hit the max score). The coop mode also gave a separate world ranking, so you could see how you ranked as a team. Unfortunately, Just Dance 2018 doesn't have any such coop mode. (The Kids mode sort of has frustration-free scoring, as you really can't tell how you're doing on individual moves, but it still shows you how many stars you earned and you can still see who "lost," so in this way it isn't a good substitution for coop mode. Why they made Kids Mode tougher without allowing Pictos is another mystery.)
Maybe they were going for a more simplified menu system, and maybe that's partly why coop mode, video challenges, and dance quests were removed...
Thank you for answering this question. Wish I had known before I bought it. I feel like this removal could have been made clear by Ubisoft. We, too, only ever played co-op. How disappointing that it was removed. Looks like I'll delete 2018, and we can keep on with 2017. Doesn't look like we will miss much.
Honestly, this was our first (and likely last) time upgrading to a new version of Just Dance and firing it up was very underwhelming. I hope somebody at Ubisoft receives this constructive criticism and that they use it to improve the customer experience by making it more user friendly.
I'm glad the game is programmed to recognize you have played before, but why does it only do so after playing several songs? The game arbitrarily locks almost all the content and avatars and prevents you from creating profiles. We played Kids mode and then the regular mode, having to play six or seven from a very small pool of songs to access our Unlimited content and pick characters. Why restrict the experienced user up front? This is a game we play for hours on end. We don't need an arbitrary thirty or forty minutes where we all pretend there are only ten songs in the game. And the kids didn't like being forced to play certain avatars.
It is like a bully of a big brother who holds out candy (that you paid for) and then yanks it away, holding it over your head to make you jump for it. Why do that to your customer?
Also, why couldn't we also import our profiles, favorites and other settings since we have Just Dance Unlimited and most all the avatars and songs carry over?
This all is a bit surprisingly poorly conceived for a franchise that has been around for 10 years.
So, co-op mode is not possible in Just Dance 2019? Was this game developped without consulting any children or parents? This is really a bad move. You're creating frustration and competition, instead of the dancing fun together it used to be.
Please come up with an update quickly!
Just Dance 2019 allows for up to 6 players to play at once. More dancers can join in after a song has been selected.Originally Posted by MattiasVd Go to original post
It seems every good feature is removed and made to be online play in order to force customers to pay for online membership.
Played 2017 with our kids at a friends place, came home and immediately bought 2019. What a big mistake our 5 and 7 year
old kids and their friends are constantly arguing since no one wants to be the loser, in 2017 that was never an issue!!
