As the title says, I have been unable to perform any executions since season 4 began. About 50% of the time, after taking down an opponent with a heavy, the execution prompt does not happen. When it does prompt, my hero either does a guard break or taunt depending on whether I press X or Y to execute. I am using the same timing as I did in previous seasons. I have attempted the following solutions:
1. Attempting with different heroes; it seems to be global for me.
2. I purchased additional executions, it does not matter whether it’s a held or tapped execution.
3. Soft and hard reboots of my Xbox One.
4. Uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
5. Resetting my modem, thinking it might be a lag issue. It’s not— I had a consistent <60ms ping.
Any suggestions for other work arounds would be helpful. I’ve done research and I haven’t seen any other posts about this since game release, so I assume the problem is on my end and not server side.

Found the issue— completely my own fault. Previous to this season, you didn’t need to continue holding LT to execute. A buddy pointed that out and that solved the issue.
Bottom line, I didn’t see the change where releasing LT would unlock you from the execute animation. It makes sense, if you’re in a 3v1, you may not want to be stuck in that “press a button” animation while getting cut to shreds.
