How do people have lvl 4 and 5 cards???

I fight in PvP and mostly lose but I noticed people had high level green cards and overran me but after the fix some of the same folks have high level gold cards. I put some money into the game but I can't afford 50 bucks a week for the special offer (9.99 x 5 card pack chances) does this game even pretend to be a non pay to win??? I would like to know.

Most of my single player levels are almost maxed or not beatable yet so it's this a pay to win only game ??

Well, there seems to be some sort of a glass ceiling when you are at Level 5 (common cards you need 1000 of to get to six). So eventually everyone will be at level five with all cards and deck building + skill will have a bigger impact in the legendary / high ranks.

With common and rar cards it helps A LOT to be in a functional Clan as you can request 12 common or 3 rar cards every (i believe) 8 hours. So 26 cards in a day on alien clyde, i bet you can see how fast that sums up to 250 cards for a level 5 upgrade, the rest is just collecting items and gold wich of cause will be faster if you spend cash but you get the idea.

A few people in my team have some 4s working on 5’s. We got them from having good teammates willing to donate cards. If you guys want to level cards fast get a good team. My team is called city team. If you donate cards people will reciprocate.

You can't grind for long, I maxed out level 1 episode 2 ,I was seeking arrow heads, guess what , after lvl 15 you can reply for fun but zero loot. More proof this game is pay to win . Down the road everyone may have lvl 5 cards but when they release a new card you would have maxed your single player levels and boom cash grab :-). It's a fun game just wish it wasn't so greedy

Wow...I'm glad you ave managed to push that far into PVE. That actually is pretty impressive considering we're talking about level 5-6 cards. You must be pretty deep into the game...Have you spent a bunch? Or are you literally playing like gangbusters to push that far. I am a level 10. I can get to 7-8 in episodes 1&2 and struggle past that point. I only have one deck that I can use PVP and have focused on that.

Now I've played games that were pure cash grabs. Animation Throwdown was my FAVORITE game until Kongregate destroyed it with greed. I don't have the same feeling about this game. Again, I am clearly not as far, and I don't play as often. But, I have very little trouble winning matches. I have only pushed to 28 and pop up a rank every couple days (with my normal playing). I have sat down and jumped 3-4 ranks when I play for an extended period of time.

Clash Royale is set up just like this and in the early days was a pure cash grab...I know they have made improvements, but I quit playing so long ago I have no current frame of reference.

South Park made fun of "Freemium Games" and I really think this game is not as bad as many.

I burned through to the end because I'm an insane fan, then I hit a wall at the last few levels but I mostly focused on pirates and sci cards. I still haven't pushed past Cartmans castle. I spent some early in and instantly regretted it bc people in PvP spammed heals but since the changes I've been doing much better
