    Remove damage reduction while using silencers (poll)

    Since having a silencer already is kinda trade why not make it as viable as other attachments?

    You either pick reduced recoil with any kind of muzzles or pick a silencer along with hidden tracers, but no damage reduction. I think that would be a perfect and equal trade.

    Ubisoft, silencers are useless since day 1 - make a change please.

    Silencers aren't useless as is. You trade damage for detectability and most guns only get a 1-2 shots to kill decrease in damage which isn't much with all the high rpm automatic weapons in the game. The white noise update even made pistol silencers more viable due to the recoil reduction.

    Tell that to Capitao and Ying mains. As for viables - how many pro league players use silencers?

    As for detectability - pretty pointless when your character makes sounds even while ADSing and you can hear that at 10 metters away, especially using headphones.

    You are exaggerating. Just in case you forgot - only Caveira has the ability to walk without almost any sound whilst other characters in the game walk like elephants.

    Actually he isn't far off. Everyone would run silencers. With todays damage model it would not benefit you to use any other attachment. At least right now we do have a choice because we can feel it when one got away due to using one. They may have to restructure recoil, weapon damage, and probably a few more I cant think atm, I don't know but I would imagine that being the case.

    I say yes. Considering that the game is at least half-realistic, even if the silencers take away a little damage - the velocity of the bullets needs to be MUCH more. That's how suppressors work - it just enlongates the barrell to keep the gas and muzzle fire travelling longer. It's literally an extended barrell except that it actually exists and provides much more benefit to real weapons than how games portray.

    So what DO you want silencers to do?

    Right now they don't show bullet contrails or direction indicators and are silent at long range at the cost of damage drop off. They are ideal for ambushes and flanks anything else and you would be better off without them. If you take away the damage decrease it will be very popular and everyone will run them meaning less firefights and more silent kills.

    If that is the case, then they must have less penetration and decreased bullet speed. Frost's SMG with a silencer is an absolute killer, provided that you aim properly and properly means aiming for the upper body. Twitch's F2 is also nuts with the silencer.

    I think silencers should remove tracers or at least make tracers harder to see
