    World in Conflict won't launch

The game installs just fine, but when I click play it loads up another window saying it's installing 7 more things like directX and whatnot. It goes through those, but then just hangs with no more text at the bottom of the screen and the circle dealy thing spinning in the lower right. Then nothing happens the circle keeps spinning until I X out of the window and abort the launch. Anyone know how to fix this?

Edit: Forgot to add that re-installing and verifying integrity didn't do anything.

Just Some Speculation and Evidence on why World of Conflict Might not be Working

    Hi all,

I was digging around in World of Conflict recently, trying to figure out why it won't start. So, go to \Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\World in Conflict\support\inst\gdf

Now, there are two .exe files here - FirewallInstall.exe and GDFInstaller.exe. There are also two .dll files - FirewallInstallerHelper.dll and GameuxInstallerHelper.dll. Attempting to open GDFInstaller.exe will give you the following message:

    'Adding game failed: 0x80070002
GDF binary: [Directory to ]\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\World in
    Conflict\support\inst\gdf\GDFExampleBinary.dll
GDF Install Path: [Directory to]\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\World in
    Conflict\support\inst\gdf\
    All users: 0

Note: This will fail if the game has already been added. Make sure the game is removed first.'

Microsoft's support page on 0x80070002 says; '...when some files in the Windows Update are missing, even though the update is downloaded and extracted successfully.' I tried verifying the files of the game twice, but apparently everything was there.

Trying to execute FirewallInstaller.exe does nothing as of right now.

Now, I think this the problem is something has failed to install, possibly GDF, and thus the game cannot be played. These could be the files missing. This is all very much speculation, because I don't work with games or anything like that. Ubisoft, fix your damn game.

    antivirus issue

Had same issue, until I viewed bitdefender (or maybe in your cases, windows security) that certain application access for WiC were being blocked. Allow these accesses, and the game starts.

    Hope it helped.

    World in conflict not launching

    HI all,

apologies if this is the wrong place to post this (don't often use forums so hope i'm doing this right)

i'm having major problems with world in conflict complete edition it installs seemingly fine and when launching it for the first time it seems to install the additional files just fine as well, however after that it just seems to get stuck on the launcher thumbnail thing with the little loading circle in the bottom right constantly spinning but not doing much else

before anyone asks, yes i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and yes i have tried verifying the game files both of which have not worked i did notice a someone else made a post with a kinda similar issue but the few replies there havnt had a fix so im trying myself to see if anyone else might know how to fix this

Happened to me, turns out my Threadripper is too OP for this game.
Try downloading the 'reduce number of CPU cores' "patch" from here

    Hope this helps someone!
