That's why I don't think allowing people to enter checkpoints while in combat is a good idea.
The problem is not rogue vs non-rogue, the problem is group vs solo. If you are going solo in the DZ you are putting yourself at a disadvantage, so you can't blame rogues or whatever for having an unfair experience.Originally Posted by alibby53 Go to original post
I dont see how this can be abuse! If you are rogue and you camp in front of checkpoint or safe house, you are at risk to be killed. It is the same when you kill non rogue, he is coming fresh out!!! Leting non rogue player to enter checkpoint or safe house is a MUST!

That would only happend if you are in fight in front of CP or SH! And this is kind a happening allready, with players who are killed!
And now I dont see who want to be rogue in front CP or SH, when FRIENDLY FIRE is off!
You got ganked, big deal, this is the DZ. What did you lose, XP, DZ funds, nope because that doesn't happen anymore. Maybe you lost some loot, again no big deal, you can get loot from so many different places now stuff you get in the DZ really doesn't matter. I got ganked this weekend by what I thought was 2 man team, took one down so I thought I'll come back and get the other one,turns out it was a 4 man group so naturally I got melted. Ths 4 man team then proceeded to checkpoint camp where I re-spawned, obviously looking to get to Manhunt status. Did I oblige them, not a bloody chance, I simply swapped servers and carried on farming for D-Tech and Caches.
It has been the same for a long time and there have been many similar threads and nothing has changed as the moderators love their rogues, some of the moderators are the rogues, if you have not initiated the conflict you should be able to leave into safe zones. You can be having a fire fight with NPC's in Survival and enter a safe house. It would mean rogues may have to think and plan ambushes. Complete crap and one reason there was a long running campaign for a PVE DZ, same DZ just minus the tush wipes, but Ubisoft love this rogue romance idea of excitement and danger and of course not giving the playing base what they want, they flatly refused. Not going to change soon because Ubisoft do not want to change it.

Yes I got ganked that is part of playing in the Dark Zone and a risk everyone takes when going into the ****hole of a zone that it is. Currently it is the best way to get D-Tech so it is what it is. The developers are going to continue to funnel people into this failed experiment in any way they can to justify the work they have put into it even after watching 100's of thousands of people even a million people abandon their game citing the Dark Zone as their reason, but that is a whole other topic and I digress.
If I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings anywhere in the Dark Zone, trying to engage 1 V 4 rogues under any circumstances then yes I surely deserve to have my *** handed to me on a platter. That is the way it is currently set up and I know that going in.
Yes I could have just let them gank me and not run through 2 zones. I could have just sat somewhere with my thumb up my *** after and waited to 5+ mins or more for my Survivor Link to come back before going back to a different zone or server.
No one ever stops to think that it may actually be somewhat thrilling to evade something like that. I mean running and dodging through buildings, bobbing and weaving to lose a tail and the thrill of the escape? All of that wasted on a bad game mechanic that lets a Rogue shoot 1 bullet from halfway across the zone to prevent you from leaving an exit. That is bad game mechanics and that was what the original post was about.
