Did you extend the guardbreak window on heavy attacks again?

It seems like more than once I've started a heavy attack and about 400-500 milliseconds in it's been guard broken. I thought all heavy guard break times were set down to just about 100 milliseconds... Did I have that wrong or was it changed back. If not then I play the conqueror and there might be a bug there...

To my knowledge, we have not made any recent changes to affect the guardbreak windows on heavy attacks.

Alright, thanks for the reply UbiJurassic. I'll maybe record a game or two to see if it's just my perception that's off or if they're actually interrupting me pretty far into a heavy.

The slower the heavy, the more time they have to GB.

I also have had issues with people GBing my GB itself..... I'll be just about to grab them and they gb me! I'll also be throwing an enemy and another one comes and GB me. When does it end for all these free gb?!?!??!??

Even OOS can just gb you and if they are a Raider or Warlord they can drag you WHILE OOS!!! Don't allow OOS to commence throws or followups on a GB imo.

Since you wanted to punish OOS that's how you do it. I've been interrupted during my heavy while they were OOS and they wallbanged me for a free hit. WTF is that?

I think synchronistaion is your problem. The more distance between players the later you see the enemies actions. Remember we are not running on servers where all actions are related to the server ping and feel equal for you each time.

Yeah, this is what I was talking about. I'm sure at one stage they reduced the guard break window for all heavy attacks to be equal regardless of class. So even if you were heavy you had the same gb window as a PK. I was asking if they'd changed it back to variable interrupt windows.
I might be wrong though, maybe they never changed it at all or maybe it was an unintentional bug for a while... Either way I think it was better with the smaller time window. It meant that feints still worked but people couldn't break you out of a heavy attack with a chance well timed guard break. If they mess up like that and misinterpret your moves then they deserve a good heavy to the face. :P

Oh and I totally agree on raider and warlord out of stamina throws if they get to throw you crazy far. I think they should still get to throw you, incase you're both out of stamina and that could give them the advantage, but it should definitely be a much shorter throw without much directional control.

Toran80, I don't think it's lag or out of sync gameplay. I think I'd be able to tell with this and it would be far less consistent.

I believe it was in PTR patch notes where they wanted to do it but the community that relies on feint-gb trapping didn't like it so it wasn't done.

Yeah, that makes sense. Honestly I don't think they should be able to get a free guardbreak off a feint anyway. I mean, a light attack or parry is enough punishment for falling for a feint. If it were just those two options it would have a skill factor too. I mean, if you aren't confident or skilled enough to go for the parry then you do light damage but if you're skilled and confident then you can parry and get the guardbreak after that, allowing for manipulation of the battle and/or a heavy attack. Just going straight for a guardbreak kinda negates the need for the skill.
