As stated, I believe we are stuck between a rock and a hard case.

The rock may be the technical limitations and console hardware that has (more or less) dictated how The Division, has turned out since the 2013 E3 reveal. It has been drastically scaled down and my bet is because the XB1, and PS4 hardware is so weak? If TD had been a PC exclusive, I bet it would have been a game more like the trailers advertised... Especially because PC games like DayZ, Rust, etc. were all the rage at the time TD was being produced.

The hard case is Massive, and UBISoft just refusing to admit the majority of their player base is PVE-oriented. This also may have to do with UBISoft's "Games as a Service" mandate they are trying to move forward with because of the success other publishers have had with MTX and on-going revenue streams? The difference, however, is TD was released unfinished content-wise, and they just could not keep releasing enough on a consistent basis, for the GaS model UBISoft, so desperately wants a piece of.
24 players enter the DZ. Friendly fire can not damage any of them until one of them toggles.
Take away the option and what do you have? 24 players in the DZ that can not damage each other.
Nothing is needed to make a PvE DZ that isn't already there.

It is a PvE DZ right now but players have the option to turn on friendly fire.

You can hold X to stop the phone recording and shoot ...it says it right on the screen when you pick it up.

The LZ is a literal PVE version of the darkzone....what’s not being understood? There’s no landmarks and now no dz crates, but there’s bosses and mobs, now resistance. Pve is in a good spot.

I think they should drop the dz requirement from the weekly and also the 10 missions from the weekly.

    Weekly Cache Idea
    -kill xx amount of bosses
    -find xx amount of materials

    No exotic for that cache

    Weekly Superior Cache
-all the old Cache requiremts and an exotic is included in the drop.

That way there’s no crying about having to do the dz. I’d honestly rather do the dz part than the 10 missions but I suck it up and be bored.

While you're right they would have to make a slight change so that when a drop of some item happens everyone gets the ability to pick it up not just the first person to it, otherwise you'd end up with folks who just hang on the periphery of a firefight that run in stealing all the loot.

From a PVE perspective, the Landmarks, Crates, Supply drops, Contamination Events, is what seperates the LZ from the DZ. The mobs in the LZ are spread out, and red bars. Walking the LZ is boring because there isn't a lot there, and none of it is challenging. WSP is a great start, but it's small hopefully they expand on it.

Totally agree on getting rid of the 10 missions from the weekly. Doing the same missions again and again and again, is boring, we're at the end of year 2, can they add more story finally.
