    Guardbreaking Attacks

I want a response from the devs. Why is this even a thing in your game?

Guard breaks are there to break someone excessively blocking but they can tech the GB.

An attacker can be interrupted, and canct tech. This shouldnt be allowed at all nevermind untechable.

I think the idea itself is good. I mean i kinda like to try to bait a parry with kensei and gb them on startup, what i don't like about this mechanic is that it's not universal among all chars. I don't like that it can't be done against like Cent or Aramusha. I don't like that poor shugo has a way larger window to get gb-d if he starts a heavy (you can gb him on reaction to his heavy). And i don't like that poor Aramusha can get gb-d on light startup.

Now let me explain why i think it's a good mechanic. Let's take kensei for example 'cause it's kinda one of his strongest move (and biggest weakness, 'cause his top UB has got one of the longest gb window). You dash in with a light, you miraculously don't get parried and you start up your top UB, then you cancel it into a side heavy with hyperarmor your opponent tries to parry it, but you feint it, and GB him. This equals: you risked a sh*tton and you won the mindgame, good, you kinda have enough stam to heavy him once.

If this mechanic wouldn't be in the game: you get to the feint the side heavy with the hyperarmor. Your opponent will feint too, and bamm, you're in neutral and you lost 70-75% of your stam for nothing. You got punished for playing offensively. Again. It would take out of the mindgame element of the game and it would lead to way more turtle playstyles. Not to mention it would make every softfeint into gb attack useless.

And it's not untechable, you can interrupt attacks and gb-s with a simple light attack. Except of course hyperarmor attacks, so you kinda have to know what you play against.

Now that I think about it....

I have been playing and I didn’t found and issue with GB, well only that bots counter every try when they are out of stamina...but now that I think about it maybe it shouldn’t be here in the game. If it is a tool to open turtles it should be like a throw from other fighting games with the speed of an unblockable attack without counter so people can try to avoid it.

It was supposed to be the anti-turtle move. Its THE PRIMARY REASON turtling is so good in this game!

It's definitely the anti assassin turtle move. Since it homes in on them dodging if you time it right and you're close enough when they start to dodge.

I think there are some situations where it should be untechable. Like if someone misses their guard break or hard melee shove then they should be off balance and open to guard break. However I agree with OP. I don't think it should be able to interrupt heavy attacks on start up. At least not after the first 100 milliseconds. You could maybe have a grace period for baiting heavies and guard breaking that but it should at least be consistent across all characters. The slower characters really don't need any more punishment when it comes to countering their heavy attacks. They're so slow and easy to counter/parry already.
