    Steep went 100% now, right?

Steep went 100% arcade now, right?

I saw the new expansion in some advertisment and checked out the forums. Look like they eventually stripped every simulation part from the game

    https://www.reddit.com/r/Steep/comme...eta_after_not/

    and other threads...

I remember when they announced it, the Arnaud guy or whatever his name, the guy from the devs, said they now made it so that everyone can play it. Was not it like that before? Flappy Birds on snow, good for 5 year olds. Now it is even easier? I mean they did not have many players before (like ~100 on Steam Charts, which is ridiculous for and AAA Ubisoft Extreme Sports game) and if this is even easier now, they will loose interest even faster because there is no challenge (other than exploited leaderboards). Strange...

I thought I let the world now, that I pass

I'd love to argue with you for old times sake but find myself in agreement, must be a cold day in hell

Yeah, this game is now such an arcade...The feeling is gone and handling is poor. I think it's a complete wrong direction to go, Skiing isn't rocket league... This type of game has their own players who loves extreme and skiing in most cases. We want more simulation and difficulty realism style game. Not going to buy this Olympic arcade....
    Very very dissapointed.

I would also like to, but the game eventually went hopelessly to craps for me. Everywhere on reddit people complain it is too easy now, no challenge and so on.
Quite interesting to see if their idea works and the arcade push really attracts more players. My money is on "no", because Steep simply does not come across as an arcade game like SSX, but plays like one. So the arcade guys are left in the dust, and the sim guys too. No difficulty options whatsoever to make it adjustable. This will be back to a solid 100 players on Steam Charts in no time. Ubisoft just does not do deep enough gameplay for sports games. They should really stick to story telling games. In such games their simply gameplay works and is not so important. Sports games however rise and fall with the gameplay challenge and Steep has zero of it. (unlike Skate 3 had or Amped 2)

I really have no idea what they were thinking. This is what happens when you read ****ing surveys and have no idea what to do with the direction of your game.

Game is still great at its core. They just have a lot of patching to do. And if it is never done that will be a travesty.
