    Locating installed game data fails

    Hello everyone,

A few months ago I moved to a new place in Belgium. I live in a really old house in Leuven and am bound to some very disappointing internet services indeed, that I cannot switch or upgrade because the house is so old (I don't know exactly myself why this is how it is, but I tried everything and I cannot change it). I am now stuck with a fixed amount of internet (80 Gbs) that will recharge >1 Gb per day but that's it. Needless to say I am burning through my internet like it's nothing (I share the internet with my girlfriend) and downloading games of which I don't have the disk is a huge risk for me.

    Actual post starts here

So I want to play for honor again but because of my limited internet I cannot download 50gbs. A friend of mine has normal internet and has thus offered to download the game for me and give it to me on a hard disc. I have now copied all the game files, put it into my ubisoft/ubisoft game launcher/games folder and tried to "locate installed game" which sadly fails. Uplay then advises me to redownload (OH GOD NO) the game and try again.

Now I have no idea which steps to take. The guides that I have found either thematize illegal copies of the game or require me to first download the first 10 gbs of the game which is not an option (30gbs left in total). I do own the game myself which anybody who looks into my owned games can verify and just really wish to play the game again :|

Any form of help would be much appreciated, cheers.

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out to us about this, and we're sorry things have not been easy since moving. We would advise creating a support ticket with our technical teams so this may be further investigated here

Thank you for the reply, I have already filed for a support ticket but obviously I am impatient and wanted to maximise my chances of fixing it maybe even this evening.
