Hey guys,

I picked up the game 3 weeks ago and love it. I have over 600 pvp wins, am hovering around the rank 42-43 mark with a lvl 2/3 deck and am really enjoying it so far.

I have done a single £10 purchase on coins, and a £5 purchase for an event pack to see how good it was. I got nothing but trash in the event pack and since purchasing the coins I've learnt to manage my coin income with pvp tokens, so won't be doing either again for those prices.

I'm the type of player that is happy to spend money on a game i'm enjoying, but nothing you guys offer really seems worth it, even the "special offers" are grossly overpriced for what you get.

My main issue with it all is that it's not just about finding a card you need and being able to throw it straight into your deck. It's about finding a card, and then needing to find 100+ other copies of that card to lvl it up or it isn't viable, and then once you've got your 100+ copies of the same card you need 1000s of materials to buy those lvl ups. In 600 pvp wins, 3 pvp packs a day and 5-6 free packs a day i've found 1 legendary. 1 legendary I can't use because it's a lvl 1 Wendy which gets curb stomped.

In Hearthstone, which I have spent a lot of money on, I can just buy 40-60 packs and know that doing so will normally score me about 2-5 legendary cards and give me a large percentage of the card collection to then use competitively, on-top of a crap load dupes that you can disenchant and turn into specific cards you want (including more legendaries).

Card packs in Hearthstone cost:

2 Packs - 10 cards - £2.99
7 Packs - 35 cards - £8.99
15 Packs - 75 cards - £16.99
40 Packs - 200 cards - £44.99
60 Packs - 300 cards - £59.99

Card packs in this game cost: (hard to work out exact because of having to buy cash first)

1 Pack - 10 cards, other stuff - £5
1 Pack - 15 cards, other stuff - £7-8
1 Pack - 30 cards, other stuff - £22-25

To mention the "other stuff" quickly, if I want coins or materials I'll buy a coin or material pack, if I want cards I'll buy a card pack. Don't reduce the amount of cards I can buy by slapping stuff I don't want in the same pack.

Cards in hearthstone have way more value per card, because if you get a card, then that is it, you can use it straight away in low/high tier gameplay. This game offers a fraction of the cards for the same prices, and then expects you to get 100+ copies of a card ontop of 1000s of materials to eventually get that single card to max lvl? What happens if I ever want to mix my deck up? I need to spend £100+ or months of time/luck per card change? I just don't see the logic in it.

If you want to have a long grindy progression system, that is fair enough.. but make it affordable for people to skip that. If you want to make cards expensive to buy and rare to appear in packs, that is also fine but then don't expect people to get 100-200 copies of each card to make it viable.

Again, I love the core gameplay, its really fun and i'm not stopping anytime soon, but i'm also not spending any money on it any time soon because nothing is worth it.I'd spend £40 and then be lucky if i've made a dent in lvling up a single card to max lvl.
