Attempted to level up but received failure error and lost cards | Forums

I attempted to level up my awesomo to lvl 2 but received an error that lvl up failes and to try again. I got my coins back but lost my three cards needed to level up. Can you please give me my cards back so I can level him up.

Same exact thing happened to me. I went to level up, got an error screen, coins refunded, but cards taken and no level up occurred. I lost 5 cards. Could someone please remedy this.
