because, tho there is one primary generator, there are generally 1 small gen per every 3-4AI opfor! if you want to kill the alarms, get a suppressed gun and hit their control boxes.. its the only guaranteed way to keep things quietOriginally Posted by Ranger_Vet68 Go to original post
Nice tactic, also because you answered does this make you Batman?Originally Posted by jsocfrog Go to original post
i can neither confirm nor deny such a question.. but i will say this much, im not the hero GRW wants, im the salty sailor SOB GRW needsOriginally Posted by Ubi-P4in Go to original post
I'd much rather listen to jsocfrog's dialogue than the dummy AI squad mates, that's for sure.Originally Posted by jsocfrog Go to original post
range on the EMP depends on the skill levels unlocked, at my level, my emp can reach 40m... but that adds a ton of "o s__t" to the mix as smaller generators and light trees explode when EMPd, thus triggering alerted responses...Originally Posted by Ranger_Vet68 Go to original post
typically i drone everything out, shoot the alarm boxes and then go about stalking around. for fun i'll EMP the main generator... but from the max range the EMP will hit it from so that i dont "splodey" anything else by accident.... blacked out bases are a treasure trove of melee kills
Easy tiger. I don't think he was busting your chops.Originally Posted by Ranger_Vet68 Go to original post
Personally, I found it quick and easy enough to shoot out the alarms and the generator. .....obviously making sure there were no enemies next to those targets that might be alerted.
I never tried to take out an alarm with an EMP drone so I can't say whether that is a glitch or by design. Then again, I rarely use the drone in GRW myself.
I know that. I was just having fun with him. He helps me out on most of my posts and he's GOOD on pointing areas where I can improve. It was meant as sarcasm only. I do the same as you. But there were a couple of times I could not get a firing solution on one of the alarms. Thus, I knock out the generator, and when I found out that didn't do the job, I hit the alarm. Niter worked at all. It's like going back to the "Far Cry" series, (Can't wait for No. 5 to be released) It seems to be a pattern in making up their games.
