Revenge mode was designed so you can have a chance to survive when you are ganked.
They changed it in a way you can’t activate it if you are blocking or when you are taking damage or you are on the ground.
So how are you going to activate it if you are ganked by four people because you are constantly blocking?
Bigger issue is in revenge mode your attacks are supposed to be uninterruptible? But I had few occasions I couldn’t attack coz of Aramusha light attack spam or even being ganked coz I’m constantly taking damage but I am unable to attack coz their attacks stagger me in revenge mode.
Isn’t revenge pointless anymore fighting against a group?
There is also this stupid thing when I parry an Aramusha in revenge mode they don’t fall to ground coz of their feat. Isn’t it against the mechanics of this game? Parry is supposed to give me max punish but they rendered that. So what do I do? Just block or evade?
Revenge saves my *** constantly. You still have to be smart about fighting, its not an "i win" button. And if you're outnumbered, i mean... you're outnumbered. Stat boosts and a shields are only going to level the playing field so much.
Also, aramusha is not the first or only character to have that feat. Just sayin.
Unless you're about to die within the next 2 seconds, save it for when you need to escape a grab/unbalanced or for the autoparry. If you blow it too early, depending on your stats, your shield might get eaten before you let your hand back down.
Also, think about how you found yourself in a 1v+ and in the future try to avoid it in the first place.
Except the Auto parry failing is a lot more common now. Revenge is very inconsistent again, trying to pop it, mashing Y only to have it fail to activate has cost me my life many times. As well as been attacked through activation.Originally Posted by high-horse Go to original post
Revenge is bs. The only game modes that revenge should even be allowed in are 4v4. To be in the process of killing somebody and they can press a button that not only saves themselves but makes them virtually immune to attacks and superhuman to end up winning because you get knocked to the ground is idiotic. Absolute garbage.
Revenge is only an active mechanic on 4v4 and brawl. If revenge is popping on you frequently in brawl you see attacking too wildly and need to tone it down. Is not going to activate that readily in a 1v1, the minute you go 2v1 you need to coordinate attacks better or risk throwing your opponent into revenge. Revenge made me win alot of 2v1's and even 3v1's. Against experienced players it is just a lifesaver which enables you to run away. When I see that my opponent has Revenge ready I will try to convince him to use it by either feinting attacks or going for a parry - guardbreak. Most people instantly use it, I back off and wait for it to fade, then attack again.
Imo it is in a good spot right now.
I agree that Revenge itself is balanced, and is a great tool. Helped me more times than I can count. But if you remember in Season 2 it started to become more and more inconsistent with popping it when needed to, it just wouldn't happen. It got better after a bit, but now its returning to the same state. That is the main problem right now.
