Uhm... how often do you shop online?Originally Posted by Cyanid47 Go to original post
It will be to ensure the info you give (including address) matches with your credit card info. Try buying something online where you put some random address from Estonia or something and you live in the US. If it doesn't match with what is stored with your details it will decline and too many attempts the card might even lock up.
Yeah, this is my first thought as well. Requiring a billing address of some kind is pretty common with online shopping, as far as I know. If you do have any issues actually making a purchase (like LovelyLad79), please open a ticket at https://support.ubi.com so our shop support team can take a look at the problem.Originally Posted by Gweadobane Go to original post
So, update on this, to my horror, I looked at my card statement today to find the so called "failed purchases" have actually been charged to my card.
This is fraud, I got nothing, told I hadn't been charged and then discover this to be wrong. Anybody who got the prchase failed message over this past weekend, i urge you to check your statement.
Now I need to find out what I can do about this from alegal standpoint.
I am in the same situation as '' Cyanid47 '' and I don't think I have anything hidden.
Ubisoft are supposed to already have my information so why ask them again when buying in their luncher,
where i'm logged with my account information. for visa security blablabla, ok fine.
But that's exactly why I use paypal. This is who got my information, they protect me from any fraud. thing said,
maybe a paypal icon has bypass personal information such as phone number and physical address and here is click on paypal, buy and keep the 2% paranoid buyer.
Have good day.
