Several times now I have summoned Big Gay Al and noticed that some of his sparkle bombs did 0 damage to the opponent's leader in PvP. It has cost me more than a couple wins already. Anyone else ever have this issue with him?

There are lots of timing issues in the game. Not just with Big Gay Al.

Often I see an opponents character lose a lot of health but regain it if my character is killed at the same time. At first I thought it was my opponent cheating, but as I also noticed it happening the other way around (my character survived) it must be caused by timing issues or something similar

I have seen it as well, but as Kejserjorn mentioned I think its down to timing/lag compensation. When I play against players with poor connections (while I am on wifi/LAN) I often get the scenario he describes as "Often I see an opponents character lose a lot of health but regain it if my character is killed at the same time".

Or killing the same character again and again and suddely my attacker is dead while his character magically has full health.

So yeah there often seems to be a mismatch between the clients. Not sure how its auto-resolved but I get the feeling whoever has the worse connection always gets to decide.
