I downloaded the free 3 hour trial on uplay and liked it so I bought it on steam and it wants me to redownlaod it. Is their anyway to avoid this since I have it downloaded already on uplay?

I'm glad you had enough fun with the trial to pick up the full game, AvasterGaming! Since Steam and Uplay are separate clients you unfortunately will have to redownload the game on Steam.
