Charity? If you sell something for a price and have described both clearly, that’s called a fair deal. If you keep changing the rules of the deal in the middle of the process over and over, that’s called untrustworthy business conduct or simply: FRAUD.

Personally I'm surprised Ubisoft pull this stunt. It's not a 'bug' it is, as you said Metjammer, a breach of contract. it may seem like a minor issue but I'm sure if someone breached their contract with Ubisoft they wouldn't just wait while the other party 'fixed a bug', no matter how 'minor'. a breach is a breach.

but now and then they seem to forget it, or they choose to call it not_ads_but_in_game_popups instead, as if...

it's kind of the opposite of charity, because the people they're fooling and breaching terms are actually the ones that have paid them!

Your point being? I don't see how limitation of liability in the EULA relates to Ubisoft failing to stick to the terms of a contract entered in to. The limitations I have no issue with, they don't have to fix it. But if I have paid for no adverts and I'm getting adverts then by any definition they have failed to honour the contract. I'm not going in guns blazing, I have used the support channel to give notification of the error as well as request that it is corrected within a reasonable time.

You do realize the mods are just forum mods and don't have anything to do with game development and charging money right? Also, most of them are nice people. And I'm not 14, I'm 32. Stop using harsh language please.

I do realize that mods do represent and defend Ubisoft and also that they do a piss poor job of communicating with us.
