It's the pricing that I find a bit garbage to be honest. Here in the UK you can get the PS4 Winter Games Edition (base game + expansion) for £35 at most retailers, however the expansion alone is £25 on the PS Store. When you take into account I bought the game on day one for £46 then the season pass at £16 to add the new expansion I'll have paid a total of £87 all in on Steep, even taking away the season pass which isn't included in the Winter Games Edition I'll have spent £71 almost double what you can pay for it now. It seems the people who bought and supported the game from the start are getting a bit of a raw deal compared to the newcomers with this expansion. There should at least be a discount for people who bought the Season Pass.

You need to own Steep to buy only the expansion on Uplay PC. If you own it, you can then look for Steep Road to the Olympics and you will find the option to take only the expansion. I've double checked right now and it's there

    @GermanScientist

I love playing games, but quite honestly, I've spend 86$CAD for the gold game and :

    39 hours of play
Reaching max level takes only a few hours,
    Worldwide scores are total bs
    Winterfest is really really bad
so its basicly a big empty sandbox

now they ask me for another 40$ ?

last 2 games from ubi i bought were beautyfull but empty (division and steep) and this is why I havent bought assassin's creed or for honor.
I have been really disapointed lately by ubi and asking for more money for a flat game like steep really feel like a scam to me.

I'm not saying the pricing is good where it's at. It does seem quite high, and I get that season pass owners feel like there should have been more to it and that maybe you should get the Olympics expansion included with that purchase

I mainly just meant that people shouldn't Assume and feel entitled to things, as the season pass trailer, marketing materials (images listing included content) and descriptions all stated that the season pass/gold Only included the Winterfest, Extreme and Adrenaline packs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SL3uYXOdlbg

That said, in response to @DanoClark, every consumer has every right to be cautious over what's included in anything they consider buying. If you're interested in something, consider how much you really want it before spending your money on it, as it might not live up to your expectations. Pre-ordering anything is stupid, since there's no real way of knowing how something will be recieved when it's finally in your hands. Always do your research, wait for reviews and watch some YouTuber's opinions, and Then decide whether or not you think it's worth it.

Now with the Road to the Olympics, there's even a beta, allowing you to get a sample of what it's like. That's great for deciding whether or not it's worth the asking price... But if you're concerned based on history, it never hurts to wait!

I did and here are my two cents.

I feel completly ripped off. You ask me for 40$CAD for what I believe should have been in the game at first.

Turning that into "olympics" only help for the money you guys will make and probably explain that you paid rights and pass the bill over to players.

The structures for grinds and the more slopestyle area w/ activities have been requested by the community and are now served as an "expension" because its focusing towards olympics.
I didnt see any muguls rides, or long jumps but overall it looks fun

I hope making a snowcross race with friends all at the same time will be possible to thoses who will buy it

As a gold edition owner though, I feel this should have been either free or for a price around 15-20$CAD at least to us who paid for the gold edition at first. Yes the world is big and probably offer a lot but winterfest is a shame and should explain itself why originals owners are so frustrated.

I will not buy this expension at 40$, not even 25$CAD.

I would love to see you add a little moutain with a snowpark, snowcross, muguls, big air etc..... as a free patch for Steep owners

I would like to know how big this expansion is going to be? As big as the original mountains? As many challenges?

Looks like I could pre-order it right now for $29.99 on Steam.

Was there enough in the previous DLC? I got the season pass when it went on sale after putting in a few hundred hours already. The Winterfest was OK, kind of lame. Adrenaline pack was better, the Night challenges forgettable.

It's hard to judge, and personally I'd just like to know how much content this will be compared to what we've gotten. Getting those second mountains + challenges weighs heavily in favor of already getting my money's worth so far.

All that being said, I did lose all my custom challenges once (50 ish) and some main game challenges still don't produce my ghost correctly or are kind of messed up in other ways + all the ridiculous scores for regular tricks that get abused. These challenges need timers, please, something should be figured out to force players to properly do the challenge. I've seen replays of players completely ignoring the actual jumps in the challenges, just constantly cutting "uphill" to do the same little flip & grab over, and over, and over, until the game's gravity forces them through the finish line.

Here is the official line about that : "Freely explore a massive open world, including iconic Japanese mountains – the steep world doubles in size." ..... Bah original gold version didnt worth 80$ so...

btw...... I still havent get all the events from steep (maybe around 12 left to find) because there is no way to get them all without finding them all........

I hadn't noticed the words "the Steep world doubles in size." Thanks for pointing that out. If that truly is the case, then the expansion would be the size of the Alps AND Alaska? I hope that's correct.

As for not having found 12 challenges? That's a bit confusing, are you talking about the locations or actual challenges because those are so easy to find once the unlimited helicopter is available. I've done everything in the Alps (using a coordinates guide for half of the locations) and only have 2 locations left to find in Alaska. But all the challenges have been found and completed for many moons.
