    I Think It's Official

I talked with Ubi Support and they said they dont think the new Olympic Expansion will come with Original Gold Edition owners, so If you do plan on purchasing the expansion wait till after Dec. 5th just encase they follow through with it being free.

It's already confirmed that the expansion is not included in the previous Season Pass. If you already own Steep (with or without the Season Pass) you can directly buy the expansion. For new players, there is the Steep Winter Games Edition (Steep + Expansion) or the Steep Winter Games Gold Edition (Steep + Expansion + Season Pass).

How do i directly buy the expansion? I only see the Steep Winter Games Edition (Steep + Expansion) in the store, I personally only purchased the original Steep after the winter games expansion was announced in preparation. If i can't buy the expansion solo then a big kick in the teeth to be honest and i doubt i will be purchasing due to those shady business practices.

There is a package with the expansion only, for who already own the base game. You can find it on Uplay PC, Steam or in the Xbox / Playstation online stores

This is additional content. What have bought was the base game + the season pass, all the content included there was announced 1 year ago and we have released it. We are now supporting the game even more, publishing this additional expansion.

I really don't get the confusion, the season pass clearly stated what was included and this was not.

In my opinion the base game was great value, dlc wasn't at all and as such I'll be holding off on purchasing the road to the Olympics, especially given how fast proce reductions were made to the original.

Lol. Yeah, how dare they? I mean. Such a rip off that Ubisoft developed Steep to make more money! They should make games for free!

Games cost alot of money to develop and companies need to make money. When you bought the season pass (or gold edition), what was included was clearly defined. The Winterfest, Extreme and Adrenaline Packs. Look at what you buy before you complain.

Be happy that the game isn't a complete grindfest in order for you to drive microtransaction, or lootbox sales... And be happy that a game you like gets supported beyond what was originally planned.

Clearly defined? The titles were, what they were to contain is another matter entirely, they were lacking massively if you are in any way objective about it, none of the new sports was at all well implemented when compared to the original four and longevity did not exist whatsoever, was it even an hour to finish them?. Anybody who paid full price for the DLC and season pass has every right to be cautious over what this new expansion will bring and it's not surprising that many people feel that it should have been included in the Gold Pack/Season pass. If you pre ordered the original game you got even less value as the first dlc was pretty much included in the pre order bonus.

I love Steep and I wish it to continue for many years to come but if it keeps throwing out content on par with the dlc it's going to fail. It needs to go back to the quality of the base game and stop adding half baked sports and ideas. I can only hope that The Road to the Olympics sees a return to the form of the original release.
