I have 215 days left on my Just Dance Unlimited subscription on WiiU, where I own JD2017. I bought Just Dance 2018 last night for Nintendo Switch, and from everything that I was reading, I should've been able to tap into that subscription. When I opened the Just Dance Unlimited option, however, it gave me a new 90 day trial instead of adding 90 days to my existing subscription, or even seeing the other 215 day subscription there. Both devices are using the same Nintendo account.
I put in a support request and they just told me I need to dance 5 times to unlock features in JD2018. Pretty useless response.
How do I get my Switch to see my subscription, and if possible, add the 90 days to my active subscription?
Hey there,
There were some issues raised regarding the subscription on Switch that have been signaled to us, please don't hesitate to raise the problem to our support just here. Our team will try to pinpoint and solve the issue.
Cheers,
Kit
So, the latest response is that it's not supposed to, contrary to everything I've found on this forum and elsewhere:
The WiiU Just Dance Unlimited subscription will not transfer to Switch, and vice versa. If you have purchased 2018 on WiiU, the 2017 subscription would stack with it. The Switch console is a totally a different platform than WiiU, even though they're both made by Nintendo.
