Hello to everyone who reads this.
My name is Camilo Mercado, I work in the Santiago de Cali, a city located in Colombia.
On December 14th, the city will hold a free public massive event about technology and the future role it will play on Cali.
One of items of the event has to do with gaming and we are planning on doing a Just Dance 2018 tournament. I would like to know if Ubisoft gives some kind of permission or license for these types of events like Electronic Arts does. We are expecting about 500 - 1,000 players divided into three categories: Kids, Teenagers and Adults.
Thank you,
Camilo Mercado
Hello there camiloamercado,
I'll try to look into this for you regarding this question.
Cheers,
Kit
EDIT: I asked and it apprears you dno't need any type of licence or authorisation from us, please feel free to use the game during your event.
Don't hesitate to share pictures and videos with us!l![]()
Hello KitKoumal,
First of all let me wish you a happy new 2018 with the best of luck to you and the people around you.
We held the event I spoke about on this thread on December the 14th with great success. We had a small legal matter with the festival organizer, the Cali City Hall, and couldn't hold an actual tournament style event with prizes and winners (public institutions cannot hold tournaments or any kind of prize-winning activity without having a legal link to the participants here in Colombia).
However, the event had a massive response and we had around 600 participants. There was even a moment where we had to interrupt the dancing for a few hours because people were not attending the rest of the activities in the technology festival.
We are extremely excited and are looking forward to holding more social events and tournaments (taking into account we are a private institution) in our city, where music and salsa dancing are an essential part of the culture.
I have pictures and videos that would love to share with you but I am not sure if this thread is the correct place to do it.
Best regards,
Camilo Andrés Mercado
