Hey, everyone! Amanda from the RedLynx team here! The latest update is rolling out on all Android devices right now! The rollout process may take up to 24 hours to complete, so don’t worry if the update isn’t immediately available. All iOS devices received this update yesterday. If you are an iOS user who already downloaded the update, but you’re still seeing the “Download Update” message, this can be fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
In addition to the exciting changes Steve outlined in yesterday’s patch notes, players may have noticed a few changes to card locks! We forgot to mention this feature in the patch notes, but we’ve simplified the card locks and arena features. Players will now be able to access every card in the game after passing Episode 3, Stage 1, provided those cards are unlocked in the arena. Arenas are now based on current PVP rank, as opposed to lifetime PVP rank. Although you can rank down to lower arenas, you won’t lose your cards! You simply won’t gain any additional copies of those cards until you rank up and move to the appropriate arena. This feature is live, although it won’t be fully visually implemented until our next update. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused!
Before I go, I just want to throw out a reminder regarding emulated, rooted, and jailbroken devices! We are phasing out support for these devices, so they will be disabled going forward. Players who are using any of these devices to play the game will receive an in-game message that states “The current device configuration is not supported.”
That’s everything for now! Looking forward to seeing you all on the streets of South Park!
Amanda 😸
My device is neither emulated, nor rooted, nor jailbroken, and yet it is subject to your ban. It is a regular OnePlus Android phone.
Amanda I realize that you maybe cannot personally do anything about this, but can we at least get some sort of official "we don't care" from Ubisoft so many of us know not to have any hope of ever playing this game again, and that anyone who has invested time and money can go kick rocks?
Now i have to try it with xposed or magisk. I prefer my rooted device, and i wont unroot it.Originally Posted by UbiDomZ Go to original post
Tried playing with a new Open box iPhone X iOS 11.1.1 and get the message “current device configuration is not supported “Originally Posted by DTFMG Go to original post
iOS 11.1.1 can not be jailbroken and this is a brand new phone (tried this in Israel).
Tried again through a buddy of mine in Germany also with an iPhone X iOS 11.1.1 and works like a charm....
Both phones are brand new (open box) have the EXACT same iOS system and only difference is countries.
There were rumors over the years of some of Ubisoft management being anti Israel and even though these are just rumors it seems rather fishy that your game works in Germany and not in Israel (tried it here with 5 different phones and tablets 2 of them are brand new)
If it’s not blacklisting a country I don’t know what it is.
Sorry to hear that, ahmerali222 and Godwar218! I'll pass the device information provided here along to the development team. ahmerali222, what device are you using to play the game?
If any other players are experiencing this issue, please provide me with your device name and operating system so I can look into this further!
What a great game...for all of five days. It's a shame you don't have better developers who can figure out how to limit cheating without banning entire groups of players. Many of us have legitimate reasons for needing rooted devices. I guess I'll stick with the vast number of games that manage to limit cheating without such limitations. As a 20 year lover of South Park I was really excited. Your artists and other creative staff obviously did an amazing job and deserve kudos. Hope you get better technical staff in the future.
The issue is deeper than this Amanda, it reeks of racism.
If Ubisoft management do have issues with certain countries this needs to be addressed.
Ubisoft is a publicity traded company and myself as a trader and a gamer needs to think twice now because the entire situation puts the company in a very bad light (even if it’s just been done in error and not on purpose).
Would love for instance to read a post from you guys that says there is no blacklisting for any country.
