    Faction War Map/Conceptual Suggestion

I've had an odd thought concerning the Faction War Map. I won't lie, this part of the game feels super clunky and just another UI barrier that gets in between me and my gameplay. However, I had an idea on the mechanic that I thought might make it more enjoyable and compelling. What if when you played a certain character within the faction you're aligned with, (Raider within Viking faction, for example) you pushed forward a smaller, more specific front on the map? Meaning that if you tend to play characters within your faction, you'll push forward more effectively? Playing with the character from an enemy faction could help you minimize the values that the specific character is pushing against your faction, with minimized values, however. It would encourage players to use specific classes and characters to move the corresponding area on the map, but your best bet to win against the other team would be to align within your own faction as much as you possibly can, since it'll have more of a numbered reward. It also feels like it'll encourage the competitiveness between players on the Faction War, since you'd be a bit more invested to play new characters, depending on what's happening on the map. For example, I'm a Viking player, and even though I don't know Warlord or Valkyrie very well, I would be encouraged to branch out to them if I notice they're losing on a specific front on the map. Even playing as a Knight or Samurai wouldn't feel useless since the system would still allow me to contribute to the map as a punishment towards the other faction, wherever my character's enemy front is moving against my faction. This sounds a bit confusing as I'm typing it, so it may be too complicated of a system to put into play, but it really feels like a good idea to help make players care about the faction war.

I like it. Anything to make the faction war more than just an icon and a color.
