I'm trying to find a list of what the npc civilians are saying something's I can make out others just impossible for me. Like "(something) were innocent" and "right decision (something)" and there is a few more I guess some is Egyptian so am I hearing them right or hearing Egyptian phrases that sound English to me.
I cant help with what they may or may not be saying but have you noticed how the guards when they spot you nealy always say "Hey now" which has made me dislike the game a little as all i can think of when i hear them say those words are...

The npcs speak latin, old greek and, I think, old egyptian.
I've asked a greek friend of mine and he has been helping me translating some of the old greek npc speeches and some of the text on walls.
Some of them are greetings like "hey, great joy" (Oi, Tis mizonos afrosinis), some are telling "did you hear what terrible thing happened...", the 2 kids playing in Alexandria say something like "What is that? Come, I have brought something from my house. lnananana What did you do kid? Here here, through the ball. Quick quick, run" others are speaking about things that were built or "Did you cry when you saw him?" and so on :-)
This text at a wall in Cyrene
means, as it seems (for what I understood), something like
"someone who is the first or the best in climbing, just ran away, speak with the climbing school"
